If we land Booker that would be awesome

The one pick that I am not sold on is Coleman. But the the guy has everything you want in a LT physically. If Colemen develops into a starting LT this draft will be beyond great. As far as everyone else we have drafted other than injury there is no doubt they will all contribute immediately.

I think people are getting too hung up on the rankings of the Corner prospects.
There was likely only 2 shut down Corners available in the first, the rest were likely good starters, but not necessarily that much of a game changer. I think that's why we didn't go with Dejean even though he did seem to pop some.
And the three guys in the first all got taken at picks 22-30.
If these guys were the brow beaters everyone said they were given how much the rules have changed recently you'd think at least one gets in the top 15.
I keep thinking about interviews of Joe Whitt, and Dan Quinn, and they want aggressive, physical play makers, and while some of these guys contest catches, I didn't see high pick counts from many of the corners taken before Mike at Slot. Maybe I'm misreading that? Its possible, but given many of this years crop are shorter, and slower that plays a factor also I think.I keep thinking of Joe Whitt as well when we drafted Mike . The ball is life statement and not everyone lives like us.I sure believe Mike is everything we want in a player for this franchise. Great pick and teams will be asking how did he last to pick 50 by next year.

I suspect he's gonna be a monster slot CB. Ball hawk is nice.
Best slot corner in draft. Teams will be saying next year how did he last to 50.

I like Newton pick it show the change in philosophy. Instead of taking someone for need we got the arguably the best dline man in the draft. This is how you elevate the the talent on the roster. Which right now is not to good.

Rather have Sua and Rosen. But I like the way you think.
So we have 50, 53, 67 and 100 left tonight correct?
Yes

Paul and Rosengarten at 50 and 53 😆

Kiem's pod seems to suggest it's Rosengarten at 36 and goes into detail explaining that many feel he can switch to LT. Also stated since Penix is a lefty he was his blindside protecter. Different view of many here which believe he is guard.

Word is out we are taking Maye. Daniels agent starts crying. New England is open to trading pick because they wanted Maye. Vikings now getting a private workout with JD. Maye is a commander.

What do you define as elite? To me elite is someone you can make a legit case for as the best in the league at his position. But not every position impacts the game the same. An elite SS isn't as near as impactful as an elite WR for example.
I'd say the Chiefs had four last year: Mahomes, Kelce, Humphrey, and Jones. For the Ravens I'd say two in Jackson and Hamilton. Bills only Allen(Diggs fell off hard but he'd be in that in years past). Niners I'd say four as well: McCaffery and Williams on offense and Bosa and Greenlaw on defense(MAYBE Samuel, he's such a unique player though and is basically positionless its hard to really say, he's more of an x factor than an elite cornerstone player IMO).
Fred Warner?

It's great that Howell has so much value. Even Keim believes they can get a third for him. I believe some teams may value him more than Fields because of his contract.

I think Smith may already have teams making offers at combine. We maybe one of them. We cut Leno less than 24 hours ago than this news breaks. I wonder if this is all related.
-
With Leno gone I think we have 4 new starters on that online next year.

At the end of the day Purdy is not winning a superbowl.Everyone that knows football could predict this.Go get Caleb!

Caleb is no Burrow. Maye is not Herbert (Herbert was one of the most mechanically sound QBs to come out of the draft. One of the knocks on him was he was "too technical")
Some say that Drake and Caleb are higher rated coming out than Joe and Justin were. I've read this from many experts. In fact I've seen experts state this since last year.

If you can't get excited about a QB prospect like Drake Maye falling into your lap when you don't even have the #1 pick then...I don't know. Maybe you should pick another hobby.
There isn't. At least not in many people's minds. But QB evaluation can be funky and people look for and see different things in different prospects.
Some people will have Maye #1. Some Daniels. There will be that one dude that'll have like Bo Nix #1 and who knows by 2028 he might be the one who looks like a genius(probably not though).
If Caleb is Joe Burrow and Drake is Justin Hebert it makes sense for us to make a huge deal to get it done. When Burrow is healthy the Bengals have chance to beat anyone at anytime because of him.Hebert is a great talent top 10 guy but having a top 5 guy makes a difference. So if the feeling around the league is there is a big gap I am all for it.

Mike Sainristil is everything Whitt talked about in that conference. He must be pump to have Mike on his team.
