Watching the champions league highlights. Think they'll be a lot of high scoring games in the group stage. Celtic looked comfortable but their defence is shaky. Gutted. Dundalk won't make it through would have been nice to see an Irish side in the group stage. That penalty decision was terrible. City won comfortable and with the money they spend they should have. In the other games roma look like having a good chance of qualifying after a 1-1 away to Porto. Looking forward to the seethe from some football fans if a red bull team makes it to the champions league aswell! 

The midlands is becoming mini Beijing that's wolves villa and WBA all bought over by Chinese investors.

Spurs are my favourite to win the league I just don't fancy the other teams feel they are all still rebuilding would go:

The 'chances created' stat is one of the most superfluous in footie. Albi Moreno apparently created more chances than another player in Europe last year ..... Mainly passing it two years to Coutinho who then blazed it over the bar. Which counts as a 'chance created.'

Number of passes made stat really annoys means virtually nothing! I don't think Marko will stay. Guy has talent but think he moved to pool to quickly.

Yeah he's good off the bench. His main problem is he doesn't really have position. You can play on the wing but u sacrifice width as u drifts and he's not a striker than can play on his own.

Pretty mixed. As GHH it's is pretty funny and will be used to take the piss out of celtic fans(celtic have always been terrible away in Europe but this is a new low) but i think they'll beat them pretty easily at home so te result won't make much of a difference. Also need scottish teams to do well in Europe to raise the coefficient making it easier for us to get into Europe!

I know their centre backs need protecting but sitting so deep is just inviting pressure. I don't understand Girouds role if they are going to play like this though. He is coming too deep to be an out ball when France win it and he isn't quick enough to close players down when he does drop deep.

France need to stop sitting so deep!they are lucky Germany have no out and out strikers on the pitch. Would look to take sissoko and matuidi off. Bring on Coman and kante.

They controlled the run of play just about the entire game.

Ukraine looked like a side that had 3 pretty good players that the other 8 were hoping would do something impressive. Northern Ireland clearly played the better team game.

Yeah lot of teams at this tournament that have one good attacking player and pack the midfield hoping the attacking player does something. As u said South America are producing the strikers. Europe is producing the number 10s.
