  1. Rookie PF on the Wizards on 2K13 my career mode. Just had a 27 point, 17 rebound, 6 assist, 6 block game on 11-13 shooting from the field. Team scored 127 points and won by 42.

That's all the Wizards need to start winning. A shot blocking, glass eating, three point shooting, pick and roll machine.

And I'm pretty sure that's all the potential Grunfeld saw in Jan Vesely when he was drafted.

  2. The fresh faces are a very nice change to the landscape of WWE. The only complaint that I have is that it's impossible to care about any of their top faces (HHH, Cena, Orton, Sheamus, Del Rio) because of the way their faces are written. I've never hated Cena as a wrestler, but his character that switches from serious to humorous promos has always been dull. The McMahons don't need to be on the TV screen because this isn't the 90's anymore. Sheamus is basically a bully, and Del Rio is just too... meh.

Other than the boring face characters, the WWE has been providing some pretty good wrestling matches (obviously with the Shield and Team Hell No feud), and tag team wrestling is starting to feel important again. They're even giving us reasons to care about the divas with the Kaitlyn/AJ storyline.

Also I've heard some online rumors about a Daniel Bryan heel turn, and I hope that's not true. At this point he's more over with the crowd than HHH is.

  3. Not draft related, and sorry to get off topic with the draft talk, but all these coach firings have really been surprising, especially Karl, and, most recently, the Grizzlies' Lionel Hollins.

This isn't to discuss more on what the coaches have done or haven't been able to achieve for their teams, but when we look at the long list of available coaches, there are definitely a lot of coaches out there who would be an immediate upgrade from Wittman. I've even been surprised that Sam Cassell never got the opportunity to be the coach. Dude was around with us longer than Wittman, I think. And this isn't a knock on Wittman at all; the guy's track record just doesn't really cut it compared to the crop of coaches that are out there. Del Negro, Karl, Hollins, the Van Gundy brothers (although if i recall correctly, Stan mentioned something about wanting to take a break from coaching for a bit to have time with his family?), etc.

It seems like now would be a great time to capitalize on one of these coaches.

  4. Didn't bother watching this week's raw (watched the home run derby instead) but AJ's gonna turn on Punk, D-Bry's gonna win the WWE title and it will be spectacular. After that I'm really hoping it ends the CM Punk/Daniel Bryan/AJ feud. It's been really entertaining and they've put on great matches, but it's carried on for too long. Like MLSKINS said, all I want is something fresh. Also it's really weird how entertaining Heath Slater has gotten.

  5. Well it looks like they are finally about to set Dolph free after what happened with him, Swagger, and Vickie Guerrero on Monday night. It has been long overdue.

As far as Kofi, I don't know why they haven't put him over. I hope it has nothing to do with this:

If it does than the WWE is dumber than we thought.

I really do think that feud with Orton was one of the biggest reasons that Kofi got pushed back so significantly. Orton was obviously incensed at Kofi, and they haven't done anything major after that. Incredibly unfortunate, because that feud was getting so good at the point, with Kofi and Orton's brawl at MSG. Kofi hasn't really been involved in a major storyline and if they still wanted to, he could be a pretty big player for them if not in the mid-card, but he's stuck in tag team limbo. He's an underrated talker and it's unfortunate they don't give him the chance to breakout.

I really, really thought there was something special about Kofi since his ECW days, and was really glad when he dropped the awful Jamaican accent. Now, I just don't think they'll let him break out. But then again, Orton did just get suspended for a while, so you never really know...

Man, I really want an alternative wrestling promotion to WWE. TNA is not the answer, nor is ROH these days, unfortunately.

  6. I think Vince still has some beef with his Southern accent. JR hasn't been doing commentary on Raw, but he's been calling a few matches on FCW/NXT with Regal, and once the two "shows" merge (which I'm pretty excited about), I think he has a permanent role calling the action with Regal. I know there's some examples of some fantastic Antonio Cesaro FCW matches on youtube. I'd grab examples, but I'm pressed for time.

  7. The main issue is their lack of talent, and/or creative department. I don't think anyone knows what they're doing. At least they still make money though...

I don't think they have a lack of talent. I actually think they have a chance to have a roster that has great depth, their booking just needs to make more sense. They already have amazing potential World/WWE champs lying in Cody Rhodes, and Dolph Ziggler (IMO Ziggler should have already had the big title, but at least he'll always have a sporadic Rumble match for a title).

Kofi would make a great mid carder, but the WWE hasn't done anything with him ever since his Orton feud and he's stuck in tag team limbo.

Santino and Zack Ryder are great with crowds, and Ryback might have potential. They could be able to bring Brodus Clay into a big storyline now that he's gotten pretty over, but they haven't.

Big Johnny has risen to be an entertaining character, but they're trying to make him the new Vince when they could still build other top heels.

I think there's still a ton of guys they haven't booked properly, and that's what continues to frustrate me about the WWE. It's been a long time since I've watched an actual full episode of Raw. Moving to three hours is going to make me want to watch it less, with the way they've been handling things. Oh, and at this point Cole should have been made into a manager. He'd fit in far better with that role. His commentary was amusing enough when he had the new attitude, but now it's unbearable listening to him and King (and I think King is far worse on commentary) together.

Smackdown's alright. At least they keep things fresh with their new talent initiative.

  8. [/color]

I guess you mean the top face on Smackdown. That won't last long, either somebody will come over from RAW to take that spot or they will accelerate a Daniel Bryan face turn. When Orton comes back, they should make him a heel. Dude can get so much heat either way, might as well just make him a heel.

Er yeah, whoops Meant on SD,. I hope they have the sense to turn Daniel Bryan face, but Vince has been making weird decisions as of late, and it's like they can't book anybody outside of Cena, Brock and Lesnar into a huge storyline (and this is coming from somebody who likes Cena). Yeah Punk's champ, but he doesn't feel like it when he doesn't main event Raw, and especially PPVs.

For some reason I think they'd be content with keeping D-Bry heel. Despite the fact that he's been crazy over since Mania, he's still stayed a heel.

I don't really get what Vince is doing, but then again I'm not a multi billionaire.

  9. I was in a fantasy football mock draft and the first overall pick was Dez Bryant. I looked at the persons team because I was really intrigued to see what it looked like, and sure enough it was terrible, considering everybody else this person passed up to draft. She also drafted Terrel Owens and Randle-El as her other receivers. :ols: I know it's just a mock draft but was still a great laugh.
