Interesting to see them moving away from the guy.

The guy they rushed to a few years ago in the draft after we took Brandon Scherff. I thought at the time being that it was a panic move from their FO and a really bad pick.

    History proves me right.

He has been bad, but cutting him now looks like they are making him a scapegoat for their team issues.

So far they have cut the GM, several coaches, and several players. If they continue to suck who will they blame next?

John Keim is trash. Can't wait for his ass to be booted.

Hmm. What's your issue with Keim? I'm interested in hearing. I think he is neutral and reports things correctly but I was wondering if he is on the Redskins payroll because he is constantly fighting with fans which I consider unprofessional if he is paid by the organization.

  3. I'm not understanding the feeling that Doctson is soft? What has or hasn't he done to have this perception?  As a group the WR's may not keep D-Coordinators up at night but our TE does. Also, if teams want to play our receivers in man coverage because "they do not fear them" Alex Smith will have lanes to escape and run or  escape/scramble and get a receiver open.

My concern on offense is more with the run game.

I'm reading Dom Capers is being let go from the Defensive Coordinator position in Green Bay.  I'm a bit ambivalent about it.  Defense hasn't been great the past few years, but it's also been hit hard by injuries that I think any DC would have trouble overcoming.  Especially the last two seasons where the entire CB corps was pretty much wiped out.  Sure hope they have a good replacement planned.

Don't worry!  Any problems the Packers have on defense the Redskins will fix it for them when they face each other next season. ?

John Fox had 11 wins in 3 years, no way he survives that.

Caldwell was lucky he wasn't fired last year.  Yes, he had 3 out of 4 winning seasons but missing the playoffs; 2 out of the last 3 years did him in. This will be a similar scenario next year; should Gruden fail to make the playoffs unless we go with a rookie to replace Kirk.

Raiders made the change because Jack underperformed this year and they probably have been talking to Gruden alot this season.

John Fox I agree with but the Bears did go into the season with a backup QB as starter and a rookie. He was in a situation where he was on thin ice from the start.

The Lions just went to the playoffs last season and like you state have 3/4 winning seasons. They don't have a running game or defense just like the Redskins. I don't see where Caldwell was holding back great players. Maybe it had something to do with Aaron Rodgers being out and them not capitalizing on that or something else going on the background?

The Raiders had a big letdown year. Derek Carr looked like he wasn't mentally over his injury and their defense is bad too.  I don't see how Jon Gruden is the solution.  Looks like next season is setting up to be another weird season should be interesting.

  6.  I don't understand the Lions and Raiders firing their coaches.  I consider those teams similar to the Redskins. I think basically with a few upgraded players and a better defense those teams can go from being average to playoff contender,

I know it was discussed here and most agreed that coaches should be fired around year 3 or 4 without a playoff win. How is the "getting a fresh start" working out for these teams like the Lions,Raiders, and Bears? What is more likely..that we see these teams improve over the next few years or that we see them firing coordinators and coaches again in a couple of years? It's like they are playing slots and pulling the lever over and over again just hoping things will finally line up.

Also, it is interesting to see that many of the GM's and scouts for these teams are not held accountable for assembling bad teams even thought they are a major player but just working in the background. A lot of times their jobs are completely secure until their is a lot of fan outcry to have them replaced.

  7. You guys are taking it too serious saying BA and the Redskins think they are better than the NFL for not wanting to wear the gold uniforms. They are ugly and the FO simply don't want the team to wear them. Simple as that. What if someone told you that you had to wear a bright as **** yellow suit and shoes to work?  I think you would resist too.

Like a few said Nike could come up with a modern uni for each team as an alternate and I think most teams would be on board with that.

  8. What a mess the Giants are in! For those worried they may draft a young QB, they still don't have a O-line, RB, or #2 WR on offense.  I'm not sure about the Giants defensive needs but we do know they have that expensive defense that was purchased last year so their free agency shopping list will be limited.

  9. I don't feel sorry for them. Giants fans will know how it felt when we had Zorn as coach and also the RG3 vs coaches show Seasons 2 and 3.

Now all that we need is for the coach to get fed up with OBJ and release him so that Snyder can send out his personal jet and pick him up like with D-Jax and Norman! 2uge4p4.gif

Does the Twitter thread always crash yalls mobile browsers? It happens regularly with me and it makes the thread unreadable. It sucks because I'm not on my desktop often and its one of the best sources to stay up on the latest Skins news.

I had a problem with it being slow loading and crashing my pc browsers (Chrome, Edge,Firefox ). I was also getting an error message that the browser memory was running low but lately it has stopped.  I think some of the pages have too much content to load.

  11. Well I'm going to leave the complaining about the Twitter thread closure alone and I do want to give a shoutout to Hap and SWFL for all that they did with that. I even miss the space updates because I have been into that myself since childhood.

I'm ready for football tomorrow night! Curious to see how the Panthers look without Josh Norman but with Kelvin Benjamin back and I haven't seen this kid Trevor Semian play yet(heard he was good in preseason), so this should be an interesting game.

I'm hoping to see the return of the Twitter thread soon. I think it is resourceful and sparked good debates.  I don't want to come across as whiny but there has always been a "mega thread" of some kind on these boards even before the Twitter thread and I don't recall any issues with those.  Also, if we are to be honest this message board is known to be more strictly regulated than others therefore we do not see many new threads open.  At one time people were beginning their threads with apologizing for starting a new thread. In this current format I believe we will see old threads staying on the front page for a while. Please bring back our hottest thread on this board for the last few years and we can spark new convo and threads from there!

  13. Incorrect. We have been wearing white pants in training camp the last few years, including last year.

Google Redskins/Texans practice fight, which we all know was last year, and the entire team was wearing white Nike uniform pants.

I  believe he was talking about the burgundy tights with the stripes a.k.a the "Joe Gibbs" tights that Niles Paul and a few other players were wearing the other day.

Many of us are wanting to see those as the away uniform.
