I noticed in his statement Ron only referred to the team as “Washington” and never the Commanders.  He knows this team will always be the Redskins deep down.  That being said, see ya!

At this point the record is toast ill take no pleasure either 4-13 or 5-12.  I dont think we are good at drafting so a higher pick is not exciting.  Beating the Cowboys, preventing them from winning the division and putting a bad taste in their mouths going into their wild card game DOES please me very much.  GO SKINS!

Dude.  I understand if you don’t want us to win….but “Go Dallas”?  Actively rooting for the Cowboys? Yuck.  This fanbase is as dead as the team.

I’m floored by how many people are basically rooting for us to lose.  A better draft pick be damned! we’d screw it up anyway…I’d rather enjoy beating the Cowboys!  I dont care if it means nothing.  Its a big middle finger send off to them to go lose in the playoffs!

Shutting Howell down has to be the move.  If you lose the last two games its defended by saying you shut the starter down to keep him healthy for next year.  If you win the last two it makes you look like you wanted to evaluate the back up and finish strong.  If you start Howell and you lose two games you look like youre risking his health for nothing and if you win both games it looks like youre risking his health for meaningless wins.

No substituting the logo.  You wanna get rid of Redskins because people cant agree if its a slur or not fine, but the logo was created by a Blackfoot tribe member to honor another Blackfoot tribal Chief name Chief Two Guns White Calf whose likeness also appears on the Buffalo nickel.  Its not a throwback without it.  But I guess we could do the spear throwbacks or yellow R throwbacks too.  If anything we should have kept the logo and jerseys and changed the name and it would have made the best compromise.  Those who wanted a change can be happy and those that didnt can still visibly recognize the same team on the field.  Now we are in this hell with a crappy nickname, crappy unis and helmets, and a goofy ass Tuddy as a mascot.

Strangely we never beat the Cowboys on Thanksgiving EXCEPT with Dan Snyder as owner.  And its way to early to say if this ownership is any better.  Im not sold just because they throw a party and talk to fans in stadium

Sorry but playing 1 extra game for 2 seasons since 2012 isnt the reason hes compiled those stats.  I agree he has little post season success, but if plays longer and esp if he does find more postseason success he’ll have a shot.

If our pick is high enough to get one of the elite prospects, I would do it.  The line is garbage, but if the new people in charge love the QB prospect that is sitting there, they can take him and redshirt him until our line is better fortified.  

 

This organization is the worst at finding QBs.  I don't mind having stiff competition at the game's most difficult position.  The worst that can happen is that Sam beats out that pick and proves himself as a top 10 dude.  

I agree with your assessment of Howell but Kirk Cousins may end up a hall of famer when its all said and done. Hes currently top 8 in quarterback rating, top 25 in passing yards all time, and top 20 in pssing TDs.  He also has the greatest comeback in NFL history. If he plays a few more years hed have a case.

It depends on whether they outright fired him and therefore released him from the terms of the contract, or if they just said we will not be renewing your contract, you are free to leave.  In the case of the latter the terms of the contract will still control until the contract runs out.

Look. You win two straight vs the Vikes and Bucs to get back to 5-5, then you've got to steal one on the road against either the 49ers or Colts. If you're sitting at 6-6 after that, then you can win 4 straight and take the division from Dallas in week 17. That's our road. Completely predicated on RG3 coming back and lighting it up. 

Call me crazy, but I believe all the remaining games are winnable.  Gotta play Dallas-week level of defense though to do it.
