    $60 million a year?

    For what? :dallas_sucks:

he's costing the cowboys 47 mil in his void year!  hahahahaha.  '25 season, they've got 3 players with void contracts totaling 51 mil.  that's a lot of cap money wasted

*Effective Cap Space for 2024 = our Top 51 draft pool. Same applies to 2025 - that's our projected 2024 draft pool counting in 2025, FYI.

Also interesting to see two teams in "cap hell" this year - the Chargers and Cowboys, both with $$ next year to spend. I guess they opted to take their lumps this year as a bit of a re-set, although the Chargers went from -$16m to $38m in cap space by moving Allen and cutting Williams. Now they've got $38m in cap space, interesting to see them shed well more than they needed to. Also well-positioned next year.

Well, I guess the Patriots are in real good shape. They'll be rolling over $30m or so into 2025 where they'll probably have $140m of cap space after this year's draft pool is added. I don't see how they'll possibly spend that down in any way between now and next year. Not like there's any $30m a year guys to add. Holy smokes.

And Detroit. Probably going to roll $10-15m into $110m next year for $125m in cap space. Again, they've got some guys they can/will likely extend to lower that number, but considering how good they already are, that's insane.

Still, we're very well positioned long-term.

don't let those cowboys cap number fool ya!  they still have to pay cee dee and micah!  those void years for lawrence and dak are hurting them.  they're gonna have to pay them if they keep them.

Romo broke down why Hardman had a step (the motion gets the secondary to momentarily shift their eyes towards the direction of motion, Mahomes snaps exactly when the eye shifts with Hardman turning opposite direction at snap).  It's a great play design and call by Reid, executed to perfection by Hardman and Mahomes.

Very similar to how they won last year against Philly!!!!!!!

  4. stay at #2 unless someone gives a king's ransom for draft picks! 6 picks in the top 102!!!  that's almost 3-4 possible starters if Peters hits a homerun in this year's draft!  top 3 qbs and it's a choice.  you can't get any better than that!  this team can just draft all offense with the first 5 pick and just take care of the defense during free agency!  that's a good rebuild to start with!

  5. for the first time in a couple of decades, this team has hired a coach with NO powers.  he doesn't have any personnel responsibilities, that belongs to peters.  no more giving total control to a coach, which is refreshing!  my expectations for his first year, getting the defense in the top 10, and i think he can do it.  as far as the offense goes, it all depends on who he chooses as his OC.  i'm hearing chip kelly is open to it.  i don't know how i feel about that, but as long as his job is to coach, that's all good for me.

I'm enthusiastic about football season because...well, football season.

I was looking forward to seeing what the Commies do out of habit more than anything, really.  I love that Snyder is gone, the Peters hiring is great but I am markedly less enthusiastic about the Quinn hire as head coach.

Anyway, someone put this together in burgundy and gold, please:

Out of the three quality retreads in BB, Pete and Vrabel, Pete seems to be the only guy not demanding personnel control. It would be a nice save with the fanbase and he is there 2-3 years to build this team up and then hand it off to a longer term coach

yep, he left that to schnieder, the seahawks gm.  pete did what he needed to do, and that was to coach.

At least with Bill he will have a staff ready to go..

Ready for this saga to be over.

same thing for Pete Caroll, If Pete was given a chance. Pete has always won more that 7 games a season since he became the coach of the seahawks.  only had like 3 losing seasons, winning 7 games in each losing season.
