  1. I'm curious why it is that folks that don't have or don't want to pirchase ST's are so tore up over those that do?  It's almost as if they are trying to justify their own decision not to puirchase ST's by convincing those of us that do that it's not a good idea.  I have no issue with someone that wants to sit in front of their HD TV and watch the game, I couldn't imagine that it would ever be the experience I am looking for but hey, if that floats your boat, go for it. For me, the live game day experience makes it worth my money, yes, my money to spend as I see fit.

  2. I remember asking STHs on this board a few years ago about the number of people in their section who are there game-after-game and it seemed like the ones who answered indicated they saw a lot of different folks from week-to-week.  I'm sure there are still a fair number of folks who attend every game, but the camaderie of a large number of the same folks there every Sunday probably isn't what it was like in the past.

Perhaps I'm one of the lucky ones that sits in a section with many of the same folks week to week, no matter, it works for me and certainly one of the reasons I renew year to year that and the fact that IMO, nothing beats watching the Skins live.

romank - It is more principal for me, I believe someone who had tickets in their family for over 40 years should be treated with a little more respect within the Redskins organization.  My seats are not terrible but who wouldn't want an opportunity to move to aisle seats? :).

Littleyog, I understand completely and agree with you, was just curious as to your location. As far as those aisle seats, been in mine for 5 years and one could easily make a case that they aren't "all that" but my wife is handicapped so we make the best of it.  Best of luck getting all this worked out with theTO.

  4. Anyone have a better email address than the generic ticket office?  We get screwed ever year, tickets have been in the family for over 40 years, then yesterday we called since our date was June 1st and the person told us transition between family members doesn't matter and our date starts when our tickets where switched over.  I guess having tickets in your family for years means nothing to them.  I really hate how the Redskins treat their old season ticket holders.  It is really a shame!!!!

Littleyoug, I'm curious where your seats are located. After 40 years of ownership, I would suspect they are pretty  darned good.

I wouldn't email the ticket office. I don't know that I've ever received a response from that, and I seriously doubt you're going to get one in their busiest time of the year. If you have a problem/question you should pick up the phone and call. You'll wait on the line for a while (10-25 minutes maybe?) but you'll get to talk to someone.

whether they know what they're talking about...

i had my account passed down and i don't think my account status was not reset. i haven't seen anyone post an earlier upgrade date?

though i'm not sure if they can fix your problem at this point. did your account number change when the tickets were transferred? i also know there are quite a few people who have received the "the records were lost in the move" line. i've always thought that was just nonsense, but maybe they lost some records and yours was one of them?

tshile, in defense of the TO, in 9 years as a STH, I have probably emailed the TO 5 - 6 times and have never not gotten an answer, in fact I just emailed them last week (in tyhe evening)  and got an answer the next morning.

  5. I like the moves so far and will wait and see what additional moves the Skins make before I decide but I think I enjoy the game day experience enough to give this a couple of years and see where it's going. And yes, I'm one of those people that like to know where I'm sitting and who the folks around me are...all part of the game day experience.

  6. I agree with LCA77 I have 6 seats for 8 years now, love where I sit, love the friendships I've developed with folks sitting around me. We like our beer guy (Teddy) and look for him each year, We like knowing where we are going and what is around us if we need anything. We like knowing how long it'll take us to get there from our tailgate spot. At the end of each season we confirm with each other that we'll return to the same location and it's part of the fun sitting with and interacting with those folks.  It's not for everyone but that interaction is a major part of attending for me and my group so we will remain STH's.

  7. Thanks. Tunnel is not a big deal. That damn blowup helmet blocks the view of the player introductions. Halftime and end of game is OK I guess.

Maybe, we'll be neighbors this season.

there's also the sun to contend with on that side of the field. Brutal early in the season.

  8. Second year STH'er just got upgraded to LL.

    Section 113 row 20 seat 11&12.

Has anyone sat in this section? How is it?

I think you'll love them much more intensity in the LL. We are in 112 and since the new Video boards were installed, the seats are great.

  9. You're going to love it man. Besides the fact that it's as close as you can get to the action (when it's on your side of the field) if you really want to see a replay close, just turn around and look at the Video screen it is LARGE

  10. I'm moving down to LL end zone this year. I'm assuming they'll have me in one of the last rows since this is my first year in the LL. Anyone have LL end zone seats? What do you like/dislike about them?

One thing I'm happy about is not having to deal with walking up the ramp to the UL.

We moved to the LL 3 years ago (6 seats) and we got row 12 (end zone) so don't be surprised if you get decent seats. First year we didn't have the new video boards so didn't care for the seats that much. Now that the new screens are in, I love our location and have opted not to be upgraded last 2 years.
