Going to make moussaka starting today. First baking the sliced potatoes. You're supposed to peel them first, think I'll leave the skins on for the vitamins, they're gold potatoes anyway. Tomorrow will be the meat sauce and eggplant slices, Thursday the bechamel sauce, assembly and eating. I'm going to give some to my daughter, she's been very good to me lately.

Next big casserole is pastissio. Back to back Greek dishes that I've never made before and have wanted to try because they're my favorites.

Speaking of eggplants... my wife makes batter out of chickpeas flour with some spices and stuff and then dips the slices in them and then deep fried. I am not big on eggplants but I can eat them like this though. :)

How often does a NY Times best seller get dinged for being a bad book? Usually all of them will get rave reviews, right, but there's still room for critical analysis based on impressions from credible sources, additional outlets, commercial responses, and observation. The same for QBs, even at this stage. Granted, the number of people calling them bad leaders will be in the minority, just like any critical reception of a NY times best seller, but we can still discuss the who, what, why, how of those impressions, determining if they're sufficient, and incorporate them into a critical analysis of each QB.

The bottom line is that the only thing that really matters (to me at least) is if the QB can lead 10 other players and can make plays. Some can be eloquent talkers but lack in the play area and some are not but at least can make plays that helps win games. I know it is a cliche but leaders are made and not born.

I like Maye over Daniels because I think he has more upside, even if he isn't as refined in his footwork and mechanics right now, which is sort of understandable when talking about a guy who has started 2 seasons vs one who has started 5.

But I'm getting a sinking feeling that we might go with Daniels. Which wouldn't be the end of the world, as he's a good prospect. But I have enough concerns about him to be dubious as to the overall outlook of his trajectory if we pick him.

I am hoping they take Maye knowing they have the coaches to correct his footwork and stuff before the season starts. If he is a fast learner that would be ideal. But, if they feel it can't be done and can't wait a year then they will go Daniels even though there is a concern about his frame and inconsistent accuracy to the short and intermediate areas, especially if not throwing on time.

The fans will want the #2 QB to be the starting QB.

It's a significant issue, I just don't believe it'll be a major issue *going forward* due to his coachability, and the much better QB coaching I expect in Washington vs. what he apparently got (or didn't get, according to reports) at UNC.

Decision-making and footwork can definitely overlap, but I think Maye's decision-making issues go beyond that and are potentially a more serious problem.

One thing I believe that goes into decision making is how well the QB is protected. If you are constantly being rushed you are going to make mistakes and have errand throws. We saw that with Howell last year as well. Forcing the ball instead of throwing away is at least coachable though.

Its gonna be Maye and its likely been Maye for a while.

I went to the draft thread and looked at what I had posted as the top prospects for 2024. The thread was started after the 2023 draft. And the top 3 are Harrison Jr, Williams and Maye. Harrison won't go 1st since now the Bears need a QB. But the 2nd QB on the top 10 was Maye. We can thank EB and Ron for getting us the 2nd pick. Maye to be or not to be. :)

I need to get a new key fob for my 2015 Pathfinder. I'm seeing different options but have no idea what actually works:

    1. Buy one online & then reprogram it yourself (see video below) - does this actually work?

The comments, in that video, from people who have tried it have said it works. If Amazon sells it, then you will have 30 days to return it and won't cost you anything to ship it back if select the defective option. ;) Can't go wrong there.
