"Well" is all relative, I think.  Two years isn't really much time, but the personnel moves were iffy.  The best draft pick was Scherff, but after that the best were Fuller, Ioaniddis, and Crowder.  Austin Reiter as a 7th rd pick turned into a decent player, albeit on another team.

None of the trades were worthwhile. They essentially traded the pick that turned into Tyler Lockett for picks that we turned into Arie Kuoandjio, Matt Jones, and Kyshoen Jarrett.  The only free agent that really seemed to work out was Vernon Davis.

Ioaniddis was a Gruden pick not necessarily a Scott Pick.

    This, Doc is pretty harmless.

Craig Hoffman and Grant Paulson are the one's who get on my nerves. Thise two get on the mic speaking like they played/coached in the NFL and had a better career than Tom Brady 😛

I don't mind Doc either I think he can be funny at times. I would agree about Grant Paulson and Craig Hoffman. I can remember Grant was doing an interview with the backup QB from Carolina talking about carrying momentum over from the following season, and Grant chimes in and says he doesn't think that momentum can be carried over from the following season. I I just that was so arrogant for him to say that when he hasn't played at all. I get that Grant has been doing sports media since he was like 10 years old but when you have an athlete that is saying something you do not have to contradict him like that in my opinion.

I remember at the time some people in the know continued to mention Kyle wanted Mac Jones because he was more like Kirk. Obviously Kyle is not going to come out and say that because he has to back the front office. I don’t have sources or anything just normal draft talk leading up.

I think that you got that half right but from what I remember is that Kyle did really like Mac and he was the reason why the niners traded up but when the niner contingent to Trey's pro day they all fell in love with Trey Lance.

I believe what is missing from the argument is Kyle Shanahan has been there every year. Also again they got Trent Williams and CMC for peanuts. Ron Rivera would make the 49ers a 8-9 team quick.

I just looked through Cunningham Eagles drafts. Of course some misses like Jaelon Raegor but some big hits as well. Left Tackle in the 7th round, Josh Sweat in the 4th round.

They were good before they got Trent & CMC. Did you forget that they went to the SB in 2020? Kyle is a great coach but Peters has help build both sides just to name a few Kittle in the 5th, Dre Greenlaw in the 3rd, Fred Warner in the 5th, and Deebo in the 2nd.

Am I the only one who doesn’t get all the hype with Peters? I feel like that team is largely successful because of Kyle Shanahan. I also believe just like his father here, he influences the draft there.

There are Solomon Thomas, Trey Lance and Javon Kinlaw misses in there.

Those are big misses but what about the hits like Kittle, Ayiuk, Deebo on the offensive side and on the defensive side players like Greenlaw, Bosa, Warner and Hufanga.  No one Gm is always going to have a perfect Draft additionally, in those picks we really do not know how much influance Kyle had on selecting Thomas, Lance, and Kinlaw.

So, not be be a negative Nancy here but....  Josh Harris does not appear to have a great track record during his ownership tenures of the 76ers and Devils.  He purchased the 76ers in October 2011, the team squeaked into the playoffs in 2011-2012, then endured 5 straight dreadful seasons trying to "tank" to get top picks. I remember the national media harping on the teams inability to succeed despite having a boat load of top picks, including some colossal misses Jahilil Okafor/#3, Ben Simmons/#1, Markelle Fultz/#1. The team didn't turn a winning record until 2017-2018, but still hasn't made it past the second round of the playoffs. Also on their 4th coach (I know, NBA coaches come and go far more often than in the NFL, but still).

As far as the Devils, his group took them over in 2013, and they've generally been terrible, only making the playoffs twice. So I definitely understand the excitement with having Snyder gone and all, he burned this franchise to the ground.  But in a vacuum, Josh Harris is not what I'd describe as a successful sports franchise owner.

I see where you are coming from but there are more bust in the top half of the NBA drafts every year than in any other league in my opinion.By the way, how was the track record of our last owner?

  7. I do not understand what the problem is if a stadium is going to be built in Dumfries. The location is going to be near a Casino as well. The proposed area is really nice my wife and I were looking to have our house built in Potomac Shores. I do not get why MD fans feel that if a stadium is built in VA  all of the MD Commanders fans twill become Raven fans. The hot lanes being located down to Dumfries will better help with Traffic Additionally, the other problem is that they would have to build in exits for the stadiums that would circumvent residential areas. The other issue is resolving public transportation I know the train runs down that way.

Not worried about this one.  Anderson disappointed and always underperformed for a 2nd round pick.  No loss here, IMO.

I thought that Anderson got better each year but I think what really killed him was the fact that we drafted Chase Young and we switched from 3-4 to a 4-3. I think he is much better suited to play as a OLB in 3-4 scheme versus a hand in the dirt end or even an outside LB in the 4-3.

Interesting take on Samuels as it relates to him playing better in the slot than being a #1 or 2 receiver.

It makes sense when you think about it. He had his best year once Carolina brought in Robby Anderson which than forced him to move to the slot.

I'd agree just on the fact that it could not get much worse.

If Quinn gets his players to actually chase guys instead of watching OBJs run wild 20 yards behind the LOS, you'll see an improvement in overall D.

With no real additions to the D talent however, its not like they will be good. Combined with a O that will put up points, you have a recipe for another year where that D is hung out to dry by facing Os that know they need to be in attack mode.

I actually think with someone like Quinn they have enough talent in their front seven where you will be able to see improvement. Im not saying that they will be a top 5 defense but I think they will be middle of the pack which with given their offense that is all they will need in my opinion.

Not sure I would agree.  The falcons have been almost just as bad over last couple seasons and arguably had better talent.   Pete Carroll is defense minded HC, so have to wonder how much of the Hawks defense was because of Quinn/Bradley or Carroll.  Also, they are extremely talent depleted on that side of the ball, coaching can only do so much

Quinn is a better than Nolan; additionally, the Cowboys have had much better talent on Defense than the Falcons. Look at the linebacking corp for Dallas it is much better, their front 4 is much better than Atlanta. I also think Atlanta suffered a lot of injuries and poor defensive drafting as well.

Legit question and I know it’s unlikely but if we got a LTD with Scherff which reduced cap hit this year are we still in play for any player north of $10m or are we done at that end of the market?

So he should the ****ing lemon, his Cowboys have one of the worst defense in the league, can’t wait for Fitz and co to go in and torch em

I hate to admit it but I think the Cowboy's defense is going to be much improved with Dan Quinn at the helm versus Nolan.

He’s really not, unless you’re using the “poor man’s” expression WAY more loosely than most. They both play the slot, that’s about it. Sims barely has an NFL body (not even getting into his height/weight, which is diminutive...just build) while Samuel is built more like a RB. Samuel has top of the league athleticism AND deep speed (4.31), Sims has some side to side quickness but that’s about it. He’s not fast or overly explosive, he’s not a threat down the field at all. Samuel has one of the highest efficiencies catching the ball down field and has good hands overall, Sims...does not.

There’s just nothing about Sims that says he is a “poor man’s Curtis Samuel” other than that they both play slot sometimes. It’s harsh but that’s the truth. Sims may be a poor man’s Jamison Crowder at best.

I think that there may be some truth to that comparison when you examine how Gruden used Sims in the sense that he would try to get him the ball via the run and pass game but not how Turner used Sims.

Teddy Bridge is not losing a QB competition to Allen.  Regardless, I would much rather have Fitzmagic throwing to these guys than Bridgewater or Allen.  This offense is going to be explosive no matter who is at QB though.

Pre injury Teddy I would agree but Teddy just hasn't looked right since. Looks hope its more fitzmagic thrown than Fitiztragic making those throws.

No need to ask....they had an inaccurate Cam Newton and Allen who no one views as a starting QB in this league.  He still got 100+ targets that year....I think that was another reason he signed here, he knows he will get targets and much better QB play.

Bonus he gets to play with his boy Terry.

Teddy Bridgewater was more accurate than Allen?

It’s crazy how everyone is forgetting his 2017-2019. Look how terrible his catch efficiency was in 2019. He balled out in a contract year. Good for him I guess

Im still not a fan but I am glad that he didn't get Aglohar money. I still think he's a gadget player in my opinion.
