Yup. Was a DB coach here before getting to be a HC in Tampa.

    He is good dude too.

Not my first choice for our new HC, but good dude

hes a good coordinator/positions coach, not sure hes a good HC. The roster he had to work with in TB wasn't great, similar to the commanders current situation, so maybe some grace is in order. If Tomlin were to become available, I'd like to see them take a shot at him. Or perhaps Belichick..though i think he would want more control than he ought to have. ie I'd like to see an established coach with previous sustained success.

Really like the front office hirings...they dont need to be football guys, they need to be guys that can create the organizational structure thats necessary for the football guys to succeed and it seems like they know how to create that given the history.

This doesn’t make any sense. So much so that I looked this person up on LinkedIn because I suspected she is a fraud. I’m pretty sure she is. She’s moved on from her Debtwire thing, and now describes herself as, “Allison Pyburn is a writer, speaker and consultant. She is the founder of the consultancy Victoria Le Aelius, where the focus of any energetic system -- whether individual or collective -- is stewardship to one common value: Life. When we view all of the Earth's vast resources as regenerative by nature, we empower ourselves to consider how we might best live in harmony, with her.”

I have no idea what that means, but this person can safely be ignored in terms of economic prognostication.

Note that 90+% of student debt is federally guaranteed, whereas in 2008 the debt was secured by homes which rapidly declined in value.

Credit enhancement in this context means mortgage insurance, increases to which was one of like 50 structural changes to the mortgage market that happened in 2008-2013. This, combined with the reliance on Ms. Pyburn, makes me think the author doesn’t know what they are talking about either.

    Old quote - but thought id add two cents as this was bumped;

She's a real person - i used to work with her when she worked for Debtwire (i worked for the parent company). But I agree with your asessment to ignore her advice wholeheartedly =).

  3. I admit I haven't been watching this team much this year, but simply reading the stat lines each week (sorry I wont subject myself to watching this slop)..are there seriously no available OL free agents or PS squad players that can be worked out/signed/poached that would be better than what the commanders currently have? They are on pace to set the single season record for most sacks allowed and they cant run the ball. Maybe I've missed it but, have they been exploring trades/fa/etc? Doing absolutly nothing seems...odd?

As Kdawg has mentioned previously, Howell will be a Patrick Ramsey clone by years end at this rate.

Consider this: it’s not all on Wentz no matter how bad you want it to be.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the Ramsey comparison. I do agree its not all on Wentz (9 sacks..lordy), but Wentz is cooked, much like Ramsey was by season 2. Wentz was done before leaving philly..he may show glimpses here and there, but will never be consistently good again.

I think this will end up being another washed QB DC traded for that wont amount to much but gets paid handsomely. The upside in this case is the cap hit wouldn't be catastrophic if they cut him after the season.

*edit cap hit is 0 after this season*

Wentz was fantastic. The placement on at least a half dozen of those passes combined with the arm strength… not something we’ve seen in DC in a very long time.

mmmm im going to disagree with saying he was fantastic..that INT he threw trying to setup a screen which then directly lead to a TD on the next play was abysmal. His accuracy was questionable on a few throws...2 ints for the day..he was OK..he was not fantastic. Lets not break out the anointing oil just yet.

That said, its always promising to see the team fight back after a 10point swing in the matter of a few plays.

  6. In NY - CC permits were issued if you had the right friends (may issue). Totally corrupt and terrible. NY can still have requirements to get the CC but its not going to be at the whim of whoever's in charge and whether or not your reasoning is compelling to them. So would expect CCP to have stiff requirements to obtain, but still obtainable now. This is a good ruling imo.

People should have the right to defend themselves from criminals and not have to hope that a cop is there and that they will help (not guaranteed in NYC by any stretch).

  7. I doubt it - sounds more like Adams was done with GB. GB offered more money (Adams agent confirmed this) and he still chose LV over them. Maybe Carr convinced him, or maybe he got tired of living in WI. OR he decided he had enough of the Rodgers drama.

Circling back to old news - Kirk Cousins agent deserves a spot in the hall of fame. He's brilliant. Cousins surely must have made the most guaranteed money of any player alive to date while delivering absolutely nothing but failure and despair.

  8. The host needs to be someone who can keep the flow of the game going and can work off script well and interact with the contestants.

Lavar Burton was not a good host. Too many awkward pauses and killed the flow of the games (could be editing, but this didnt seem to be the case for most other hosts). I think this comes from working from a script most of his career. Not a good replacement..i think people have some serious rose tinted glasses when it comes to him, but he just wasnt good..was rooting for him when they added him, but he was just not good.

Ken Jennings got 1/2 of the formula right, but was a robot when it came to speaking with the contestants. He was a bit pompous to me as well.

Mike Richards was probably right behind Faber to me..very unknown, and dont really care about his past.

Katie Couric/Anderson Cooper suffered from slowing the game down by repeating the correct answers too many times (ie reading the full name). It was a slog.

Oz was ok, but if Mike Richards had too much baggage, no way Oz gets a nod.

Aaron Rodgers was one of the better hosts. A dry sense of humor, but kept the flow of the games going and interacted well with the contestants.

Bill Whitaker put me to sleep, very monotone.

Buzzy...i dont remember him to be honest, so may have been a middle of the road host. i do remember his dumb glasses.

Mayim Bialik was good I thought, but figured she wouldnt get the full time gig.

Guthrie was so/so..had similar issues to Cooper/Couric, but was a bit more personable.

Gupta was a decent host I thought..dont remember too many negatives from him and he seemed personable.

Stephanopoulos - was travelling, so didnt see him host.

Robin Roberts - ditto - would have liked to have seen her

Faber was probably one of the best hosts. Good flow of the game, very personable and off the cuff with the contestants. Really liked him.

Joe Buck, as OK as he did, I dont think I could see him day in day out for Jeopardy.

I think they should keep rolling with the guest hosts if none of the above can fill in fulltime.

my mid 2012 MacBook runs circles around my modern windows 10 laptop. And I have a nice laptop for work. I can’t talk about it at work because I’m surrounded by people that hate Macs and think people that like macs are stupid. Anyways, point was they hold up well over time

An odd comparison. Your home MAC most likely isnt running the same corporate software that the work PC is running. We have the same issue in our environment with users making that comparison, and they arent wrong, but it's not an apples to apples comparison.

  10. Single arm cross-face tricep extension

    Single Arm Tricep Kickbacks

Dips (dip bar or off a bench)

Pushups (many many variations..i like doing them with KBs for exhaustion)

    TRX strap tricep extensions

Skull crushers - with an ezbar or with dbs

Slight varition on the rope extensions you do on the cable machine..you can do these single arm w a strap or double with one of the short bars. Keep your shoulders back on these.

I'm waiting for more benchmarks to come out, but it looks like they may have a hit on their hands.  Between the Ryzen and Vega, AMD might be making quite the comeback in both CPU and GPU.

Im surprised they're still around to be honest. Intel has had the processor market on lock down since core2s came out. I've kind of considered AMD/ATI to be the budget version of Intel/Nvidia for a while now.

Steams hardware survey doesnt give the entire story obviously, but as of Jan 2017, only 21.5% of people on steam were using an AMD processor. Only place to go is up for them. Maybe it'll push Intel a bit harder if they start seeing that market share shrink.

  12. Dell to buy EMC for $67 billion in biggest tech takeover ever

    http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/dell-to-buy-emc-for-dollar67-billion-in-biggest-tech-takeover-ever/ar-AAfmUf4?ocid=ansmsnmoney11

    ***************************************

As somebody who is forced to use EMC storage, I hope that Dell improves the support.

Hah! I said the same thing to my boss immediately after seeing that Dell bought them. He had a hell of time getting things working as EMC said they should. Quite the time sink for him.

  13. Gonna preface this by saying none of the following is going to resolve your issue, but;

Why do you have the only MAC in the building? Personal or did they provide it? We're a windows environment so if anyone brings in a MAC, its a do it yourself type of deal. If your company provided the mac, they need to figure it out and get it sorted for you (hound them until they do, squeaky wheel and what not).

Off the top of my head, I can't think of a reason why a password change would cause your particular issue, but I have 0 familiarity with MACs OSX environment. I know when our it admins install a printer locally (which isnt correct) and they change their passwords, it can occasionally lock out their account (and then I laugh at them).  So I would start looking at stored credentials for the printer/network and whether or not you can change them when you do your routine password change. Or just reinstall the printer each time.

And I would agree with whomever said that drilling a hole in the wall to connect your laptop is not a proper solution. That would get a good laugh and a "no" from me as well.

  14. Asus or Linksys. Really digging the Linksys 2100, but its kind of big for a router. It was designed with DD-WRT in mind so you can certainly go with that if you don't like Linksys software, though the default gui is fine for me. My friend swears by asus routers, but i have no experience with them.

I had a netgear n750 but felt the interface/performance wasn't what it should have been for the price point.  Particularly the gui. It was incredibly slow. I wanted to put wrt on there but its not compatible.

Before that I had a linksys wrt54gl for about 8-9 years before I needed to replace it.
