This is probably a dumb question but why are playoff teams automatically protected from being on Hard Knocks?

I would be interested in seeing a team like the defending champion Bucs or Andy Reid’s Chef’s on the show. Much more than another bottom feeding mess of a team.

Not sure myself but I think it’s considered a “reward”. Every Team, GM/Coach seems to look at Hard Knocks as a distraction and as secretive as most organizations are it’s not too surprising teams management isn’t interested in exposing anything.

  2. On the Field I love this guy. Playing LT in the SEC is not for the faint of heart, especially at the level at which he performed. Ranked as a Top 70 overall player by most.

Off the Field he has had his issues but he’s 20 years old. God knows we all made mistakes at his age. Our coaches and our veterans will lead the way.

Psyched to have him! Welcome to the squad big fella!

This is actually something I'm a bit concerned about.  Is anyone else worried that our current DL coach - Sam Mills III - has only been the DL coach for one season?  He obviously has a lot of experience in the assistant DL role, but it's a bit odd to invest four straight first round picks on the DL and then have someone so relatively inexperienced coaching them up.  Especially a player as raw as Sweat.

Mills obviously has NFL bloodlines (which also means he was hired via nepotism), so I'm crossing my fingers that he's one of these wunderkinds like Kyle Smith, Sean McVay, Kyle Shanahan and (hopefully) Scott Turner.  We need a coach that can maximize all that talent.

Great point! I recall many of us railing last season regarding concerns about our Defensive Coaching staff being able to take advantage of our Defensive talent. Obviously they could not. Hopefully with the proven Defensive Coaches we now have they can help lead the way for Mills...

Another reason to draft Young instead of trading down.  He's great at forcing fumbles, and he'll be playing against the most fumble-prone QB division in the league for the next decade-plus.

    Jones:

-18 fumbles in 2019 (led the league) (only played 13 games)

    Wentz:

    -17 fumbles in 2019 (2nd most)

    -9 fumbles in 2018 (10th most) (11 games)

    -9 fumbles in 2017 (9th most) (13 games)

-14 fumbles in 2016 (led the league)

    Dak:

    -12 fumbles in 2018 (3rd most)

    -9 fumbles in 2016 (5th most)

Wow, great find! Just take the Man!

  5. Kuechly is only entering his age-29 season, so this is a completely unexpected retirement. Arguably the best linebacker for multiple seasons in the 2010s, Kuechly finishes his eight-year career with at least 100 combined tackles in every single season. His unique blend of speed, aggressiveness, and smarts led Kuechly to seven Pro Bowls, five All Pros, and one Super Bowl appearance. Kuechly is one of the most accomplished players in Carolina Panthers history and will be considered for the Pro Football Hall of Fame despite a shorter than normal career. His leadership and reliability will be missed in 2020 and beyond.

Great player, concussion issues maybe? Gotta admit my first thought was un retire and join the Skins? Maybe he wants to play only for Rivera...

I know it sounds stupid. But Bangles could give up the #1 spot so another team could get Chase and then the Bangles can still get a decent QB by moving down a few. 2020 is QB heavy draft as well.

If the Bengals don’t draft Burrow, with his ability and Ohio back story they will be rioting in the streets of Cincinnati...
