I disagree. They have been rumored to get around $50 million apiece. I doubt they'll get any more than that from here on out. Plus, with each passing fight, this mega fight is starting to lose its luster. It lost a little this pass weekend. Heck, what if Pac or May actually loses? Then the fight is totally off and they both would have lost millions.

Much to gain little to lose. To boxing fans, it's "losing its luster" but with each sensational story, with each leak about the fight ("the little guy is next") the fight is attracting more and more casual fans, and non boxing fans. Case in point, how many people do you know who don't follow boxing relgiously but would go see this fight because of all the hype over the years? It's growing... A few years ago they would not have grossed near $50m....now they should get at least that.

If either one of them lose, they will still get their massive payday....it doesnt take away from the current base of people who want the product, just maybe, and a big maybe, slows the growth of new fans. But they will still get their massive payday...every single person on this thread and more will still watch a manny/floyd fight whether they win or lose the previous. AND they would have a new kid on the block to fight, meaning more money, more hype.

There is no downside to delaying while the hype continues to build, only upside. This is Floyd's game, it's what he does best, besides fighting...he is a master marketer and the most manipulative promoter in the history of the sport.

No one is ducking anyone...it's all part of the game. The fight will happen when they reach peak earning potential and not a second sooner.

Floyd, the only thing I want to hear out of you is, "I don't care about no test, I just want Pac in the ring. "

Funny that you bring that up because rumor has it that aftef Pac agreed to the test, Floyd demanded $100 million. I'll admit, this came from Arum, but I don't remember Floyd ever denying it.

If Floyd is that interested in cleaning up the sport, he'd go to the state athletic commissions and demand changes. Has he done that? I'll wait for an answer.

You know its funny. Floyd asks for drug testing. Manny declines. Floyd asks for drug testing. Manny agrees but not all the way up to the fight because it will "interfere with his training" huh? Floyd asks for drug testing. Manny agrees up to the fight but says he won't allow the US anti doping agency to do it, instead they want someone else to administer because they dont trust the nations' governing body of PED use in sports.

And FLOYD is the one ducking Manny? You are delusional.

He is asking for DRUG TESTING not an absurd amount of money, not to fight bare knuckle, not to do a tag team WWE event... DRUG TESTING. If he wanted to duck the fight, wouldn't he ask for something a bit more...oh I dont know, unreasonable? DRUG TESTING!

I havent seen many Floyd fans making the claims about Pac that Pac fans say about Floyd.

Anything/everything related to floyd is downplayed - too this, too that...every win has an asterisk and a reason as to why he won. But Manny's are all clean. To me it seems you're the type of person who needs an excuse or answer for why the guy is perfect when in reality, he is simply undefeated, period bottom line. It's OK though, there is no convincing you, you've got your opinion, that's fine.

No doubt. Manny declining the tests = more hype & questions surrounding the biggest fight in years. None of them are stupid. It's all about money.

Manny's win over Marquez will again be a $ multiplier...and his loss won't have any effect on the Mayweather fight. These guys have it all down. Low risk high reward.

Floyd has erased every single thing said about him with the Hatton fight, Mosely fight, Ortiz, etc. He never fights anyone with a knockout punch. He ducks southpaws. He fights guys past their prime. On and on and on and on. And he keeps winning. And people keep hating him more.

Case in point. Floyd knows what he's doing. The last 2 years was NOT the most lucrative time to fight Manny, and unfortunately for the fans, I'm not so sure 2012 is the right time either.

He is literally collecting attention, collecting haters, growing the market for boxing, and preparing for the most lucrative fight in history.

So, the greatest boxer in the world had to land a legal cheap shot to win his fight. This truly adds to his legacy.

Of being the more experienced fighter, who took a headbutt minutes before, and laid out a young punk who was getting frustrated because he couldnt whip Floyd like he thought he could? Yeah, sure.

The rules are clear. What none of the highlights show, and if you didnt watch the fight live you wouldnt know, is that not just seconds before that, Ortiz came up to Floyd TWICE to apologize. How many times are you going to say youre sorry in a fight? Mayweather openly accepted his first hug, openly accepted his glove touch a 2nd time...and accepted it a THIRD time. After the third damn time of touching up, you'd think the guy would put his hands up to fight, standing in the middle of the ring with one of the best fighters ever in a live match? Nope. And Floyd showed him why it's important he show some more respect.

To say that his legacy is affected in any way is almost as ridiculous as all the "he's ducking manny" comments. Very simple. Take the tests and I'll fight you. Now Manny has accepted, however I fear that before his November fight with Marquez a window will open for Floyd to accept Ortiz' rematch offer and we'll have to wait for ANOTHER round of fights before it happens.

It's all about money with Floyd....could he accept Pac's fight now for May and make $75M? Sure. But why not fight Ortiz again, make $50M, then fight Pac in 18 months for $100M and double up? More risk sure, but more money. That's how the guy thinks, it's beyond the sport and "showing everyone i'm the best". So i can understand why some purists hate him. But love him or hate him, that's the way the guy thinks. And to the folks who think he's scared...honestly I think it's just the opposite. He is so confident he can beat Manny that he wants to maximize the payout and knows after Manny, how will he ever make the same kind of cash? I'm sure he also thinks at 34, 35, 36, or 37, he'll still beat Manny any way you slice it. True or not who knows, but you have to understand that's what motivates the guy, it's not about just boxing anymore.

It was a good fight but Ortiz knew he was fighting Floyd's fight and no matter how hard he tried Floyd sucked him right back in. Enter headbutt.

Floyd knew as well, knocking him out will result in a) a win + b)controversy + c) making him even more of a bad guy (hence the threats at the end...hate me more people!) = a bigger payday next fight, which now doesnt even have to be Manny.

Floyd = best fighter alive and most fiscally creative/intelligent athlete on the planet.

Honestly, if they did that, I would never sign up for Sunday Ticket, and I'm sure I'm not alone. The quality was just too good and it was just too easy. Unless DTV could share in that (and they probably have no interest) I dont see it happening.

If they came to me and said "$100 for the stream, or $300 for the ticket" it'd be a no brainer. Well, first Id call them and say Id do the ticket for $120 like I do every year, but if they declined, it'd be a no brainer.

Hilarious, on the commercials, the stream still works along with the video for 90pct of the commercials, so we hear theismann talking about random stuff. Asking about iPhones vs blackberry, etc. Can't believe they aren't telling him.

i think its a great event so far...but thats me. 1st rd of the Kimbo fight was weak but it heated up, and I dont blame the fighters for executing on their strategy.

What the hell. None of the mechanics here can figure this one out. At about 2200 to 2700 rpms,(no matter what gear),there is a stutter...a hesitation if you will in the engine. Nothing horrible. No lights come on and the truck keeps moving. Hasn't gotten worse. Happens somewhat regularly. Now while the truck is in 4 wheel drive,(last used that back in April),there is a very noticeable shake. Whole truck seems to just shake once and then keeps on going. I've been told O2 sensor,misfire in #5 cylinder,(Ford Ranger V6. Biggest V6 available for this model),4wheel drive,hell even a problem with the cruise control,(which I don't use all that often). Weird.
