  1. What is the criteria for executive of the year? Based on wins and losses on the field? I don't recall another organization being flipped completely in a single off season like this. Really amazing to see when ownership and front office are on the same page. The fact that it's a destination not only for on the field talent like free agents but a destination for star front office personell is something to behold. So psyched to have a well run team. Totally forgot what this felt like.

I don't think Caleb is in play but for the skeptics, its the off platform, pocket manuverability that is impossible to miss.  I wasn't even watching Caleb but other players, but Caleb just about every game I watched had wow plays like this...

So i have only watched a few highlight vids of Williams. Much like this one, not a single snap was under center, and a lot of these seemed to be broken plays.  He's definitely magic when that happens but can the guy throw timing routes? Can he drop back at all?  For those of you who've delved deep?  Or is it going to be a situation where the first year he's going to have to learn to do that?

I liked Ron before this off season as a person.  i still do to some extent.  But as a coach or culture setter he stunk it up here IMO.   I can tell he seems to be concerned about how the fan base will perceive his tenure.  For me, before this off season, I would be OK with his legacy but now i am not.  I think it was cool that we had a nice guy coaching the team while we had a douche owner, but outside of that, I see Ron as a bit of a loser.

Yep. I wanted to give him this season, a season without the Snyder stink and constant meddling. A season to only focus on football. He **** the bed and was kind of a prick about everything to boot. Time for a reset.

3 games in and NOW this mother****er wants to evaluate the online. What happened in the summer when they had mini camp, training camp and preseason. Get this ****ty ass coach outta here. ALWAYS playing, strategizing reactively

To be fair he spent the first 2 games evaluating Cheeseman.  Dude is busy.

  5. I think its high time Ron had a season where we can judge him only on football. None of the insane off field distractions, no health related issues just an evaluation with his focus only on football. I think he'll be significantly better and the record will likewise be better. whether that means he saves his job is tbd but at least he'll have a fair shake. Im excited to see what they can do without all the noise. Not sure if it will be enough for Harris no matter what the end record is but at least we'll see what he can do.

Michael Phillips and Finlay talking about this saying Bieniemy's leverage is now, not after he takes the job -- they both also think o line and spending to improve it is likely a discussion point.

Standig-Sheehan talked earlier today about believeing KC would take Bieniemy back if it doesn't work out here as to the negotiation.

I get talking about the O line is obvious.   But them addressing some of that O line issue in FA is far from obvious with how this team operates.

As I've mentioned before the beat guys have been expecting another low key, do little FA season.

Right - how can Ron promise anything to Bieniemy given the potential ownership change or worse, the cash strapped current owner.  I guess they can try and do what they can do under whatever limited budget they're on and Ron can tell Bieniemy "hey we tried".  Probably won't derail talks but I don't know how Ron can make good on any kind of promise given the circumstances.

Sheehan also as I talked about here previously that Dan has cut back on meals and perks on the road for players to save money this year.

I hadn't heard this.  Why would any FA talent want to come within sniffing distance of this franchise. Poor faciliaties, poor perks, poor way we treat players.  Can't attract nor keep talent with that combination.

Heard this today (Ross Tucker): less than two years ago the Eagles finished 4-11-1, now they have arguably the best roster in the NFL from top to bottom. Roseman is getting credit for reshaping the roster, starting with dealing Wentz.

Why can't that happen in DC?

There have been plenty of opportunities where we could have stocked up in draft capital but we were too stupid or too vengeful to do it.  Got nothing for Kirk, much less than we should have gotten for Trent the list goes on. We just don't have the foresight or the will to trade players that we know won't be in our future plans.  You can't think someone is a building block of the team then proceed to ruin the relationship and ultimately get nothing. Combine that with poor drafting and well there you go.  We never have committed to a rebuild, it's a constant dance of "we're almost there". We've been almost there for 20 years.
