I think Gibbs 1 was famous for it, at least among skins fans, where it was imprinted into our genetic code that it was best "to not show anything". But they knew what Joe wanted to do. Shhh we can't let anyone know we are going to run counter trey all year.

To me it comes down to those handful of special plays, let's call it trickery, that it may be dumb to save for late in the season. I have always wanted them used early, instead. We are only going to show it once, so there is little benefit in waiting. And again I contend, showing them early can shape what defenses look for in coming games. They ran a flea in week 1, safeties be on the lookout for it again.  And watch out for the reverse from inside the 5  :ols:.

On an unrelated note, Jim Zorn is the only coach dumb enough to run a trick play 2 times in a row.  #SwingingGate

Don't remind me #SwingingGate.  I was at that game.  Saw it coming from a mile away.

I remember the stadium playing songs having to do with rain, one of them being "have you ever seen the rain". My brother and I were sitting in one of the suites at the time and we thought that was pretty funny

I was in the upper deck having a conversation with another few fans and eating at thr sausage and onions kiosk.  It was a blast.  I absolutely do remember those smogs being played.

Anybody remember the game against Baltimore when a thunderstorm caused the power to go out and the game was canceled?

Yes I was at the game.  It delayed the start by about an our and then was delayed again a few minutes after halftime ended before being cancelled after the lightning hit the stadium.  I was at that game.

i believe a rookie draft pick named Dallas (Sartz)??? returned a pick for a TD right after halftime that decided the game for us.

Yeah, exactly and there were some great teams in the AFC. The NFC was mostly the East and the 9ers for the most part, but you really had to be a solid team in the AFC to make the playoffs. The Oilers were probably my favorite at the time, until they had that monumental collapse against the Bills.

I remember that collapse vs the Bills.  Hard to forget

  8. I was a season ticket holder, and now I'm an ex season ticket holder. It used to be about 100/ticket to sit upper deck. I can sit lower deck for the same or club for 150 sometimes, and I don't have to pay for preseason. To me, it was a simple decision from a money standpoint. I used to try to convince my self that season tickets were worth it in case the team got better. But truth is, even if the team gets better, there are 91K seats, and I'll always be able to get a seat. Always.

I have upper deck tickets on the 5th row on the home side and they cost 79.00 before taxes. I'm not sure where you are coming up with the 100.00 for upper deck. The 100 level seats are 99.00 for the most part.

  9. Who Del.......................BOW TO THE GREATNESS OF THE BOYS.

You can't deny it buddy. 5 championships. You have been in the league twice as long and you have ZERO. Zilch, Nada, Zip.

That is a HUMILIATING statistic my freind. You couldn't even win a championship in a "Strike Year" man.

The eagles are the Sept-Dec champs the last few years, but when it comes to gutting it up and playing for the ultimate prize, you CHOKE, or excuse me, maybe I should say "Puke" ala Mr McNabb.

Cheer up though, If you were to win a championship every year for the next 5 years, you would be even with THE GREATNESS !!!!!!!

Just how many times have you beaten the Skins in the playoffs. We are 2-0 vs. the Boys. Yes, you have more SB's than anyone in the division, but your record since 1996 is 0 wins in the playoffs and only 1 trip to the playofs. Now are's isn't much better, however atleast we can say we have won a playoff game in the same timespan. Believe it or not, we have a better overall record as well since 1996.

So don't dwell in the passed, it has no bearing on the future.

  10. I have a foul mouth. I'm sorry for that. But I'm so sick of the Cowboys and their fans. I seriously hope they are the worst team in the NFC EAST this season. I can't stand it anymore. I want them dead in the water. 2-14 is what I really want. 1-15 would make me **** myself.

Don't you always want them to be the worst team in the NFC East the entire league for that matter?
