  1. I like Jahan Dotson a lot, but not at 16.  I felt the Commanders traded down, didn't expect all the WRs and Kyle Hamilton to be taken and then decided to take him at this spot.   They weren't drafting bpa at this point, this was a need based pick.

Jahan Dotson is a very good player, he can play inside and out, plays big, runs good routes and high points the ball.   He's physical for a 5'10 guy and I look forward to seeing him play in Washington.    Soon enough we won't remember where he was drafted.

That was the thought of some about Collins in the draft, but there was belief that he would hold up well in Quarters or Cover 2.  Others were not convinced.

What an overrated Alabama defensive class.  If I recall it was Ashawn Robinson, Haha Clinton-Dix, Landon Collins, Reggie Ragland, and maybe CJ Mosley?

Mosley looked like the only NFL player of the group to match the hype, but he's been quiet since leaving the Ravens.

In regards to Mosley, the Ravens no how to use their players to their strengths, for the most part, and when to offer them a second contract and when to let them go.  Mosley has dropped off tremendously since getting that huge contract with the Jets.

Just one small adjustment but agree with you on most.  Have you seen CB Trent McDuffie from Washington? If not, watch some film on him.  He's good and I would consider taking him at #11 but would rather a trade down.

mcduffie is excellent and so is his teammate Kyler Gordon.   However you also should look at Andrew Booth.  The guy reminds me of Marlon Humphrey.  Plays fast and physical and a very instinctive and smart player

  4. I actually think the downfall of the Redskins started when Beathard resigned in 1989.   Yes, we won a Super Bowl in 1991 due to the excellence of Joe Gibbs coaching and the talent that BB signed and drafted.  However the team was getting old and started to fold after Gibbs retired, so yes everything started to come to fruition at that point.   Petitbon and Norv along with Charley Casserly just screwed up the entire team.   Than it went straight to hell when Snyder got here.  Looking back at Gibbs second go around, he absolutely did an amazing job considering the talent around him.   We came a dropped interception from Rogers away from leading the Seahawks 10-0 and possibly advancing to the NFCCG.

The 1992 was the draft that confirmed my growing suspicion that Joe Gibbs was a targeter. Yes, a friend of mine who played for Gibbs (1986-1992) felt Gibbs retired because he did not want to go through another rebuild (1981, 1985, 1989) and the core those rebuilds centered around was now about to age out.

I completely disagree with your suspicion, but appreciate your opinion.   Gibbs would have been the perfect coach to rebuild a team and he isn't a quitter.

But I'm currently proper buzzing off the 'Jack Del Rio will be the new DC and will call plays' part to care about much else!

That's excited me as much as anything the past 48 hours or so.

    Hail.

    thank god it's not Haslett

KOC called what 5 games? Giving him control to run the whole offense with a defensive minded head coach is a huge job. I would much rather have the dude who worked with Peyton Manning and improved QB play wherever he’s been and is a proven coach.

Jim Caldwell had taken time off for health reasons, but wants to get back in the game.  Could very well only want to be a head coach though.

I think I read earlier today that the Ravens have only punted twice in the past three games, and both of those punts occurred after Lamar was pulled because the game was well in hand.  So, their first team offense has not punted in three games now (If what I read was accurate).

I also found out this week that Joe Theismann led the Redskins in punt returns and punt return yards in 1974.  That blows my mind.

that is accurate.  I read that as well

  8. The Ravens offensive seem to be doing what the 1991 Redskins were able to accomplish.  They have a top offense and a top 10 defense and that doesn't happen often.  As a matter of fact, this is the Ravens last 24 drives.  Absolutely incredible.  They have a phenom at QB and almost everyone had a chance to take him.   Some teams had two chances.  Hell the Ravens didn't take him with their first pick.

touchdown, touchdown, kneel down, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, kneel down, touchdown, touchdown, missed field goal, downs, touchdown, touchdown, kneel down, touchdown, field goal, field goal, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown.

Anyway, this type of production reminds me of the skins offensive production back in 1991.  Maybe one day we can get that back.  Well I can dream, can't I.

Ahhh ok that makes sense lol..the snyder gets in the way

tell me about it.   Unfortunately I don't think we win anything until Bruce Allen is fired and Snyder gets out of the way.  He won't sell the team because he makes too much money even as he mismanages the team.

  10. This is what a true leader is and I hope to god the Redskins can find someone like him.  It's really hard not to root for the guy...

Zrebiec with a load of tweets from Marlon Humphrey's presser

"Marlon Humphrey told a good story to illustrate how much Lamar Jackson has lifted the locker room this yr. Jackson went into training room yesterday, not because he needed to get treatment, but he just wanted to shake hands with all the rehabbing players and the athletic trainers

"Humphrey said that type of gesture means a lot to everyone, given how much Jackson's star has risen. Humphrey said that Jackson has always been humble, but he's seemingly gotten humbler the more success he's had.

"Humphrey story came after he said that the current Ravens team just seems tighter than ones he's been on in the past. Said guys hang out in the locker room for an hour after practice just to discuss different things.

"Humphrey also said that Marcus Peters has done a lot for team chemistry. Not long after he was acquired, Peters suggested all the DBs get together for a team dinner. Peters footed the bill. Now, the DBs get together for dinner regularly."

    More on jackson:

"He calls people by name, knows the names of kids of people in the building. Just gets it. This includes down to the janitorial staff
