All of us have opinions.  I think Way of ALL the Commander players should be one to keep the #5 if it has ties and meant something to him.  He has proven himself in the NFL.  Rookies need to earn that respect as Way has.

I know this is done in nearly every sport but I think it is tacky to ask a long term vet, pro bowler and all pro to give up their number.  DQ and Peters should have shut it down.  Rookie has to earn it, and this would lose some locker room points with me.

To be clear, this is not a big deal.

Chase Young is just different....extremely talented but just hasn't found that incredible effort he had his rookie year.  Really strange because he had MAXIMUM effort as a rookie then it just appears he just go the big head and just doesn't play team ball.

His talent will get him another contract, but he's certainly missing that spark that made him special.

I don't know if it his knee or what, but he definitely has no interest in mixing it up.  Bending over to get in his stance seems to be a chore.

I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get another contract either.

    7. One of the things good organizations do is look for scheme fit.

That should be #1 or merged with the current #1.

Can the guy do what you want him to do? Has he done it regularly? Conversely if we want to change to the QB’s strengths, what are the secondary impacts on the team (new linemen/WR/TE) and can they execute?

Forgot about this Caleb Williams interview where he said he wanted to go to the Miami Dolphins and be coached by someone young. That is definitely not what he'll be getting with Eberflus in Chicago

I hope these quotes are out of context because they don't make him look good.

"I also like the colors," the Washington, D.C. native adds. "The colors are pretty cool and the weather's good."

"I like to be around younger coaches," Williams says. "I'd probably go to the Dolphins. I also would be able to play with Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Mike Gesicki. The defense isn't bad. That's probably my number one spot."

For those who don't think it matters, the Philly newspaper has a whole article about how Jalen's quiet and stoic demeanor is hurting the team and for the team to get back on track they need more from him:

I've seen it all.  First time I've seen a player knocked for being mature, stoic, and resilient.  Philly doesn't deserve him.

How many times under former ownership did we actually interview several candidates for our HC job?  It’s an incredible source of intel.

I agree 100%.  This is information the new GM needs to hear.

As for Quinn and his last game, it is a short sighted to think that excludes him.  I hope the new GM and owner make a decision based on a much larger sample.

Anyone else feel like the GM/HOFO decision has already been made and not announced if they are interviewing coaching candidates at this point?

Assuming Harris is following his plan, they are probably recording the virtual interviews.

It might be cool to have the GM HOFO candidates evaluate the interviews as part of their own interview process.

Wait let me guess, is Maye also compared to Drew Brees?

I haven't seen much of Maye beside all the perfect we need this guy highlights.

Dare I think Howell may be a better comparable than Brees. If not, what are the biggest differences between Howell and Maye... maybe Maye wasn't Ramsey'd?

I read they share the same weaknesses but not sure if its true or not.

That has been my quick assessment of Maye as well.  He seems like a taller Howell, but with less rushing ability.

This debate is pretty much dead now but felt like this is still a good point by Rappaport (that likely is coming directly from Arthur Blank)

I agree 100%.  Too many teams go from worst to first each year for fans/owners to wait 3-4 years to "contend".  You gotta build the plane as you're flying it.
