Agreed.  That should be our max offer.  Although I might prefer to include Allen instead of Payne.  Either way that’s still a monstrous offer as Payne or Allen are worth a 1st.  I’m still hoping it gets so ugly and the price drops like it did for us with Trent.

I think he will sit.  Leveon and Trent paved the way on how to force a trade.

Houston shouldn’t get fair market value for Watson because he’s disgruntled and will hold out.  Just like we didn’t get it for Trent.

It’s clear we want an immediate upgrade, a significant one, on who we’ve rolled with in 2020. And right now, it looks very difficult to achieve that. Almost impossible I would say based on the scenarios being floated.

I agree.  We will probably have to settle for Fitz, Brissett, or Tyrod competing with Heineke.

I think heineke is a restricted free agent so I don’t think there is any chance we let him walk.

Assuming we won’t get Watson or dak, how would you rate the other options?

My ranking...

1.  Tua or Darnold in that order depending on who gets Watson

2.  Fitz

3.  Heineke 

4.  Others - Mariotta, Trubisky, Tyrod, Cam

This is interesting.  I also was against giving up a first a month ago but am now for it.  I suppose it is the excitement.
