Johns Bass Posted August 25, 2015 Share Posted August 25, 2015 Indeed they have done well. But as a defensive unit, their tackling has been atrocious. Too many missed tackles by the first guy that makes contact. We'll get a better feel this week on the secondary. So far it looks like a better bunch of athletes but the group seems to be somewhat lost at times as far as coverage goes. It's like they don't want to give up the deep ball but are very willing to give up 4 or 5 yards underneath and lay off the receiver. It won't do much good to have a decent pass rush if you give up the short pass. Good QBs can make those plays before they go down to a sack.
