Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on during practice, overlooking the practice fields. No bleachers are available on-site. Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center visitors can walk around designated areas outside the practice fields to watch their favorite players.

 

For security purposes, all visitors and bags entering the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center grounds are subject to search by team security.

The City of Richmond will offer a variety of parking options for Redskins fans during training camp. Available parking lots provided by the City of Richmond will be announced closer to camp.

 

The following items are prohibited at the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center: alcohol and illegal drugs, weapons, firearms, glass bottles, video cameras and animals (except for certified guide dogs assisting disabled guests).

 

Food and beverages will be available for fans to purchase on-site.

PARKING

The City of Richmond has released the locations of the parking lots for visitors to 2016 training camp. All official City locations are $10 to park, cash only. This fee will allow same-day re-entry with parking pass. All City parking lots are within two blocks of training camp.

Parking lots will open no earlier than 30 minutes prior to training camp and will close 30 minutes after the end of camp. Click here for a full schedule. Handicapped parking is located directly across the street from training camp. All bus parking should be prearranged through Allen Rothert at allen.rothert@richmondgov.com.

DAILY PARKING

  • Handicapped Parking: 2300 West Broad St. (35 spaces). Must present valid Handicapped tag to have access
  • 2200 West Broad St. (220 spaces)
  • 928 North Meadow St. (500 spaces)
  • Ambassador Lot will again be available at 840 Hermitage Ave. Ambassador credential must be presented to grant entry to lot. Lot available only when Ambassadors are on duty and scheduled to work.

Where is the Washington Redskins training camp?

The Washington Redskins train at their world-class Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center in Richmond, Va. (Behind the Science Museum of Virginia – 2401 West Leigh Street, Richmond, Va. 23220).

 

What is the official name of the training center?

The official name of the Redskins training facility located in Richmond is the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center.

 

What does the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center provide the surrounding community outside of the three-week training camp?

When the Washington Redskins are not conducting training camp at the site, Bon Secours Virginia Health System operates a full-service sports medicine and men’s health center on the property.  SMG books and manages events and activities throughout the year. 2014 -2015 hosted 80+ additional events which included private social functions, corporate meetings and employee days, youth and professional sporting events and national tournaments.  Fields and park are available for rental by reaching out to SMG Richmond.

The Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center includes a new city park with a three-tier outdoor amphitheater and walking trails to enhance the benefits for residents as well as camp attendees.  This 2.5 acre space is a perfect area to host both private, corporate and community events.

Bon Secours also brings health care services and educational programs to Richmond’s underserved areas surrounding the facility, furthering the health system’s long-established Healthy Communities initiative. Healthy Communities focuses activity in Richmond’s East End and Church Hill neighborhoods and now include communities around Leigh Street.

 

Is there an admission fee?

Admission to training camp is free for all fans. However entry or access to the Washington Redskins Bon Secours Training Facility is not guaranteed. Entry may be restricted as necessary to ensure the safety of training camp attendees. For more information, please visit the Redskins official website in advance of your visit.

 

Where should fans park?

The City of Richmond offers a variety of parking options for Redskins fans during training camp. Available parking lots can be found on the Parking section of Training camp page.

 

Can I get player and coach autographs during camp?

Following practice, Redskins players and coaches are available to sign autographs and take pictures with fans, schedules permitting. There is no guarantee that you will have an opportunity to receive autographs during training camp.  The Washington Redskins Cheerleaders also make appearances and sign autographs during training camp.

 

Can I take photos of the players and coaches during training camp practices?

Yes, however Redskins staff may request at any time that you cease using those devices.

 

Where can I buy Redskins merchandise at training camp?

The Redskins Team Store has a tent on-site and is the source for all the newest Redskins merchandise such as jerseys, hats, men’s apparel, women’s apparel, youth apparel, training camp gear, souvenirs and more.

 

Are food and beverages available at training camp?

Yes, there is a variety of food and non-alcoholic beverages that are available for purchase on-site.  Additionally fans are able to bring in food and beverages.

 

Can I bring a cooler to training camp?

Outside beverages and food are allowed on the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center premises. However, a variety of snacks and beverages from vendors on-site are available for purchase. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed.

 

Can I bring my pet to training camp?

No, pets are not permitted at the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center (except for certified guide dogs assisting disabled guests).

 

Is seating provided for fans at training camp?

In addition to the opportunity to watch practice, the Redskins offer special events, giveaways and other unique fan experiences. Fans can also enjoy various interactive tents and purchase their favorite Redskins merchandise at the Redskins Team Store tent. Located next to the Science Museum of Virginia and the Children’s Museum of Richmond, fans can also take advantage of special exhibits that will be featured during camp.

 

Is there an age limit for training camp attendees?

Training camp is open to children and adults of all ages. From Play 60 youth fitness obstacle courses and various interactive tents to special events, giveaways and other unique fan experience destinations, there are exciting opportunities for Redskins fans of all ages.

 

Are there special activities for kids at training camp?

Are there any WOW (Women of the Washington Redskins – the team’s official women’s fan club) events during training camp?

What is security like at training camp?

For security purposes, all visitors and bags entering the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center’s grounds are subject to search by team security.

 

Are any items prohibited from camp?

We ask that you arrive early and travel light, as you may be subject to search. This includes metal detecting and bag search. For safety reasons, prohibited items include but are not limited to:

  • Alcohol, drugs, illegal substances or any paraphernalia associated with drug use
  • Audio/Video recorders, professional cameras (at the request of promoters use of cell phones may be prohibited during events) and tripods depending upon the promoter request
  • Cans, bottles, coolers or any outside food or drink
  • Pop up tents or shelters
  • Fireworks
  • Flags or signs with poles
  • Laser pens or pointers of any type
  • Noisemakers or air horns
  • Oversized bags
  • All Illegal guns and weapons are prohibited
  • Pepper spray/Mace
  • Chains, knives and spiked jewelry
  • Any other items deemed unacceptable by event/facility management

If an item is revealed during a search, patrons may dispose of the item or they may return the item to their vehicle. The venue does not safeguard any personal belongings of any type.
