warrentonboy
Did we forget about audibles after the Spurrier era? We gotta get better calls from MB when the called play isn't there. I know we had to keep a thinner playbook this week due to newbies at WR. But these guys are pros and understanding audibles should be elementary
mwahaha91
We do plenty of audibles. We just don't change the formation. There's a lot you can do from singleback or the Iform. While reading the defense, MB just calls out an audible ranging from PA, fullback handoff, screen, etc... If we had a type of play associated with a specific formation, then we would be read like a book. For example, let's say single back was associated with the run, then the defense would just come all the way to the line of scrimmage. If I left was associated with the pass, then the defense would just blitz or drop into coverage. Audibles really don't = formation shifts.

That has been the Skins forte forever. On the same hand, we run many formations with the same play. When you see 9 in the box on 3rd and 2, don't run the ball.
