I'm guessing that Washington didn't have any interest at even a 5th round pick, that would have freed up #2 to go WR or trade back for OL

You can remove one season from Ron's resume and that narrative goes away. He never had back to back winning seasons, hell Carolina has never had back to back winning seasons ever.

If he was under contract I would agree with you but he isn't so he can do whatever he wants

I'd say there is a much greater chance the Quinn ends up as our DC than our HC, I'm wondering if it is between he and Weaver for the position.

What is Quinn's current contract situation with Dallas? I believe that he signed a one year deal for this past season but I am not certain. If he is not under contract wouldn't he be free to sign as DC with anyone?

I could see Johnson as the HC and Quinn as the DC if they didn't want Weaver for some reason

The longer this goes the more I am thinking that it will be Mike MacDonald as the HC due to his relationship with Shen and Harris's desire to emulate the Ravens organization layout

I wonder if Saban would have interest now that he has retired from Alabama

Ron Rivera just arrived at the Commanders’ headquarters. He’s expected to meet with Josh Harris this morning.

Here are the tie breakers for you nerds out there  If I am reading it right, we would win a tie breakers over NE due to them having a better division record?

1. Head-to-head record: The team with the worse record in games played against each other gets the higher pick in the draft order.
2. Winning percentage in games played within the division: The team with the lower winning percentage gets the higher pick.
3. Win percentage in common games: The team with the lower winning percentage gets the higher pick.
4. Winning percentage in games played within the conference: The team with the lower winning percentage gets the higher pick.
5. Strength of victory: The aggregate winning percentage for opponents each team defeated is calculated, and the team with the lower strength of victory is awarded the higher pick.
6. Combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed in conference games: For example, if Team A is ranked 10th in points scored and eighth in points allowed, Team A’s combined ranking would be 18. If Team B is ranked fifth in points scored and 14th in points allowed, Team B’s combined ranking would be 19. Team A’s combined ranking is better, so Team B would be awarded the higher pick.
7. Combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed in all games
8. Best net points in common games: The difference between points scored and points allowed is compared for both teams, with the team with the worst net getting the higher pick.
9. Best net points in all games
10. Best net touchdowns in all games: The difference in the number of touchdowns scored and allowed is compared. The team with the lower net touchdowns gets the higher pick.

I believe that Howell will be asked to hand off more than he will be asked to throw it so his yardage will probably end up being modest most likely. Assuming we do not fall behind multiple scores early on. I'm really interested in monitoring his rush yards, Ron once almost got Cam killed in Carolina with poor OLine and frequent rushing attempts.
