Patrick Mahomes is a dual threat QB coming out of high school and college.  Just because he doesn’t run as much doesn’t mean he isn’t.

Let’s not fool yourself.  We are going to win a few meaningless games and draft ~15 again.  

Obviously, we need to draft another 1st D player.  Imagine how good we can be...Chase over Tua and Herbert.

Unsurprisingly, another season wasted.  Nowhere close to challenge for the ring and not bad enough to get a high pick.  Lets do it again next year...

Unfortunately, we don’t tank.  That’s why we been mediocre for decades and going nowhere.  Even if we somehow get a top 5 pick, we’ll pass on a QB, Tua or Herbert, for D player.  
 

Watch, we are going to win a few meaningless games be stuck at pick 10 or later which means our option will be the 3-5th best QB again.

Maybe, you miss the part where I said at any point you don’t see…Thus, I am fine moving on only after the first year.  No point wasting another 1-2 years trying because it’s a #1 rd pick.  This logic is why teams keeps a mistake around for a few years.

If you don’t have a franchise QB, you are going nowhere.  Investing in other positions before hand just keeps you at mediocrity.

You draft a QB.  After the first year, you feel you might have something very good.  After second year, there should be big improvements and with some more weapons, the guy is going to be a pro bowler.  Third year, he’s the franchise.  If at any point, you don’t see it.  Reboot.  

We obviously need to draft another 1st rd defensive player...There will be plenty of journeyman QB to pick up.  Gotta keep this mediocre streak going for another decade.
