Once they officially announce the number Chinese knockoffs will ship that day. If they hold off and have the jerseys in stock through fanatics and the team shop they can capture a large portion of those sales for people who want to be the first to have a jersey.Ordered me and my father JD5 jerseys through NFLShop and they stated that the purchase was a preorder until the number was decided and then they would ship. I think they are trying to get head of the curve like you suggested but knockoffs, due to price/availability in some cases, will always get a piece unfortunately.

I am stoked about this one, Wiley is one of the guys I was early on. I don't have my typical 3-4 TEs who are under the radar that I like in this draft. Wiley was my only really under the radar guy months back. But he's not an under the radar guy anymore.
With his size and speed -- really good potential. It wouldn't shock me if he ends up better than both Sanders and Stover. He might end up TE #3 with me but still deciding on that. One other dude I've warmed up on is McLachlan. I've tried to get into Theo Johnson, don't love him, don't hate him but am having a hard time getting excited about him. I'd go Wiley over Johnson.
Sneaky good hands and very good at high pointing the ball(granted his QB wasn't a world beater). Definitely has that dog in him. Kinda reminds me of Ertz in how I can see him being a nightmare with his speed at that size.
I wouldn't be disappointed at all if we took him.

If we could get him at #36 or #40, I could die a happy man.

I'm starting to think that it's becoming more likely that our next qb's name will begin with the letter "J".
JaMarcus Mariotta?

I wouldn't mind trading #40 and #78 to move to #28/29 to get an OT. Then trade from #36 back to accumulate picks with the OT secured.
That would be my dream scenario. Use #36 to move back and let GMAP make some magic in the mid/late rounds.

Meh on Crowder.
As a 4th/5th WR on the depth chart and on teams, I think its a very smart signing. Vet presence and we definitely aren't breaking the bank for his services.

Crowder gives us a return man fallback option.
I dig it.
Prolly cheap as well too. Smart move.

Quck question. Is there a guy or position that is a need with the 36th pick?
The better question is, who isn't there? We need to improve across the board at all positions so whomever we think we are going to pick(or do end up picking) will be a position of need in my opinion.

I am guessing it's the relationship with Quinn and Lynn, and Adam Peters too. Lynn probably wanted to go.
Stop and read that last sentence again.
Lynn probably wanted to come. People want to be here now. Good people. Ben Johnson's shriveled raisin of a scrotum aside, Quinn said he wanted this position before it was available. Peters wanted to come here, and here alone. These aren't Jim Zorn hires. These aren't Ron Rivera's give-him-the-world to come here hires. These aren't last-gaspers. These aren't Jay Gruden. These are legitimate hires. Now, it could very well burn down, fall over, and then sink into the swamp, but I am ****ing excited about the whole process.
Now, please excuse me while I call the doctor. It's been WAY longer than 4 hours.
*Mood at work after hearing about the Lynn hire*

^^^ I feel terrible for San Fran's cap situation. Perhaps we could take Warner off their hands for them.
Personally, I don't and one can hope haha

Not exactly a national secret the team is going QB at #2 and possibly even going to #1. He gave nothing away. In fact he did not say they were taking a QB. He said they were in a good spot because there are three QBs there. People are jumping to the conclusion that means the team is gonig QB at #2. That could also mean they are fielding offers from other teams desperate for a QB. Not to mention tis the season of lying.
Very good point. Maybe I feel like he could have just given a simpler, yet concise answer. It gave off the feel of he just wanted to say something to sound like he has some type of intimate details about what AP is gonna do and it rubbed me the wrong way tbh.

Doug Williams out here with the "leaks" again. Even though its obvious that we are taking a QB at #2, the fact that he's talking about it on national television feels like he's messing up whatever leverage we have with our pick. Seems like there is always someone in that building that is trying to shoot us in the foot...

I can honestly say this is probably the most optimistic I have been about staffing hires this team has made in recent history. I spend my work day excited as hell to refresh the page to get more news/updates as well as to see the optimism from other posters. Could....we....be....actually.....winning the offseason.....the right way for once?!?!

Yeah Gibbs and La Porta are real difference makers for them. if we do hire Ben Johnson I hope we can find a speed back in the middle rounds and a decent TE in FA.
That RB from Oregon looks pretty impressive, IMO
