Think Washington knew that trade would keep Dallas from getting a WR?
Surprised tho. We have to be going for Hamilton, Lloyd or Williams at this point

(I swear I checked the picks like 3 times and just traded to take him, I better not be missing his previous selection)
Trading up to 150, the Dallas Cowboys select: Zamir White, RB, Georgia
The Cowboys take the athletic, power-running Zamir White, as the heir apparent to an aging(at 26?? he's seen a lot of snaps and played last year with a knee brace) Zeke Elliott.
Elliott, Pollard and White, not a bad backfield

With the 24th pick, the Dallas Cowboys select:
Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia
With the top CBs off the board, Dallas decides to lean into an area of strength.
With the emergence of Micah Parsons as a do-it-all LB and elite pass rusher, Dallas shores up a long-term LB who was captain of perhaps the most prolific college defensive group ever. He adds valuable athleticism and will do well to pile up the tackles while covering RBs well out of the backfield, freeing up Parsons to spend more time in the pass-rush.
Sorry all, I actually thought I was the Indy Colts this year and not selecting until the 2nd round. 🤣 whoops!

Subluxation is it partially slips out and the reduces back into (relatively) where it's supposed to be. Not as bad as dislocation, but still a fracture risk and almost certainly ligament and labrum damage in his hip. The hip is a super strong joint, it doesn't sublux or dislocate easily. He's on the low end out several weeks, most likely done. But, you never know what will happen if the MRI shows no significant damage.

With pick #211 the Cleveland Browns select Tre Brown, CB - Oklahoma.
Brown's undersized but feisty and quick. Plays bigger then he is and has a knack for making big plays. He also brings kick return ability.
He was on my short list for this round.
I think I read he excels in man-coverage, I thought that would be an interesting late round look from the WFT on this guy.

Will make my pick shortly

With pick #204, the Dallas Cowboys select:
Feleipe Franks, QB, Arkansas
Standing 6'6 and 235, with a baseball arm, Franks hits all the physical checkmarks. After losing his starting spot at Florida to Kyle Trask because of a season-ending injury, Franks transferred to Arkansas where he defied all odds to have his best season yet despite having considerably less talent around him.
He's not a polished quarterback and has his faults, but he has shown to be able to overcome significant adversity and persevere. He has room to grow and is in a great spot to develop on a team with good WR talent and an already established franchise QB, where he can grow into his backup role.

Sorry, sent in my pick b/c wasn't sure when I'd get back.
Dallas grabs Trevon Grimes, a tall, rangy WR to add to the mix of weapons offensively.

Yeah he seems like a guy with great intangibles who underachieved at FSU. Could be a stud, could be a dud.
Lecounte is interesting. Was once viewed as a potential day 2 prospect, but his stock has plummeted, capped off by a horrid 40 time. Maybe if he gets in the right system and things start to click, he could be a value pick at this point.
yeah, this is definitely a situation of tape vs pro day time.

Well, thanks a lot! I had Rhamondre as my target.
So, as consolation:
The Dallas Cowboys select, Richard Lecounte III, Safety, Georgia.
While he lacks elite athletic traits, he has some of the best instincts among DBs in this draft. He projects as a rotational safety and a core, special teams all star.

With #164, the Cowboys select Kendrick Green, Guard, Illinois.
After making additions to all 3 levels of their defense, the Cowboys pick up a developmental interior lineman with elite athletic traits. Kendrick is a converted DL, so he has not yet hit his ceiling. Which is very enticing because this past season he allowed zero sacks and only 4 hurries in 8 games. His sub 4.9-forty was also eye-opening to his potential.
