I get that Wylie was bad, but how much of that was scheme, qb and coaching. He did play better with brissett. Maybe this staff saw something. Agree that this line was terrible as a whole and needs to be upgraded. Putting my trust in the new staff

OK, lets all settle down about Mr. Howell III. He is a great kid who performed admirably under extraordinary circumstances. This is good for him and us moving forward. Everything Snyder and RR needs to be purged. Besides can anyone name one player in the last 5 years to leave this team and become a pro bowler. I enjoyed his time here; it made the season easier to watch.

So, we can look at the past 4 years under RR ( I’d rather not). But the most glaring weakness is that this roster was worse than we as fans actually wanted to believe. Only one of our free agents signed with another team. I feel sorry for the teams that lost to us during this time. As a fan since the early 70’s I can truly say that I am more excited about this team than ever before, but that’s tempered because of the last 26 years. This was a complete eye-opening experience for a team that I have ever seen in any sport. I was one that wanted Johnson and was underwhelmed when we hired DQ. However, how many of these coaches and players would have come here for an inexperienced new head coach. I am starting to believe that if we hired any other coach this transformation wouldn’t have happened. The winds are changing in DC and hopefully we get back to where we were as a proud franchise where people and players want to come to play and win.

To put all these signings over the last 24 hrs into perspective, you have to think. how did we win 4 games? Maybe RR deserves his ring

I know there is a lot of media that wont like Kingsbury and the stats dont lie. The offence was kinda dull sometimes. But what the stats dont show is kyler calling the wrong formations or blocking schemes. The kid had talent but couldnt undestand the concepts. Watch some of the plays from two years ago. Kyler just loved to run. Or when the play broke down he would make the wrong read. You could see the frustration on kingsbury face and in his post game presser. He never threw kyler under the bus when everyone here in phx could see the immaturity of his qb.

More of the air raid system with a lot of motion to free up the recievers. Screen gsme used along with the run game. First option is deep them intermediate then check down

I would prefer kingsbury with a young qb. Being here in AZ i got a chance to see his offense up close. Kyler was not his pick. It was the ownership and media influence. Murray's lack of respect for the game and not spending time in the film room was the problem for the second half of both seasons and the downfall of kingsbury. Its easier to fire the coach than the player. Teams had trouble in the beginning and had Murray played up to his potential he would still be the coach out here.

Versus who thinks Washington will decide to "stand pat" and not pursue any other team's players and just focus on getting their own players on the practice squad --and not bring in anybody new that hadn't been with them in preseason?

 

I tend to think Rivera and Co. will not be very active during this waiver-wire period, and just work with the folks they had in TC and preseason.

I starting to believe that myself. It looks like the new owners want to see what they have and ride this season out for better or wose. I think the big changes are in the off season 🤔

Actually all kidding aside, i actually like this draft. Our offence looked good behind howell against Dallas. I think our biggest weakness was our corners and safety and it keeps us from over paying an aging vet who thinks they can still play. We were on the field way too much late in games

With two good defensive backs taken, i never want to see another hail mary completed against us for at least 6 years
