Haven’t seen that shirt before (w/ the pentagon and almost DOOMy lettering) - do you have a link or is this a joke flying over my head?
Do I have a link to what ?
The link you posted will take you to that shirt, under " short sleeve shirts "
.

Some new Commanders fashion...
The W logo is different, and the Commanders font on the t-shirts seems to be new as well. I have no idea what this means. Thoughts?
It's just that particular shirt
The style of font is the same as it's always been, it's just black instead of burgundy or gold.
That shirt"s going for 80$ on the team website...

As for Marjorie Harris, it makes me sick to hear her say that. But not surprising at all, it’s becoming more and more obvious that they plan on doing nothing about the name. At least she’s being honest about it I guess.
From the article:
QuoteWe’re going to look at everything come the end of the year ( last season) and think about a lot of different things and do a lot of testing and see what people think. And we’ll learn.
I'd like to think they've already started.

All football websites should have the correct schedule!
No one's disagreeing with you on that, but the point wasn't whether all websites have the same thing, the point was how many preseason games does Washington play ?

Nope. We play the Dolphins in our first preseason game and the Patriots in our second ( and last ) preseason game. Well maybe we just haven't scheduled a third one yet. I have no idea. Currently shows two.
We play the Jets, Dolphins and the Patriots in the preseason.

Agreed, but if it's really 90-100 years old, that's what uniforms looked like. Some of the old throwbacks to the 20s and 30s are like that (Green Bay and Pittsburgh come to mind).
Was actually going to say this very thing. If that's the way the uniform looked at that time, even though it may look odd to us now, don't make any major modifications to it.
Do it, the way it was.

I think the helmet looks o.k.
The jersey looks more like a hockey jersey.

It still pisses me off how he could say, with a straight face, that fans chose/wanted Commanders.
In all fairness, I don't know if he ever
said " this is the name the fans have chosen ", more like " this is the name that encompasses what the fans wanted in a name ".
But I also doubt that another change would havve been his idea.

I don't see where the team is going with the feather on the W, if it is something that the team sanctioned. The feather only makes sense with the old team name. Bringing back a the couple of feathers to pin on a Commanders logo feels like a dead end.
Not if you eventually get rid of the name ' Commanders ".
The feathers are on the " W ", not ' Commanders ".

Rales said " We're going to do some testing ".
If that happens., there will be a change.
I think it's as simple as that.
I don't think they'll wait five or six years to do it.
I imagine there will be some kind of ceremony for Darrel Green at one of the games, this season. I wouldn't be surprised to see us in the " Gibbs uniforms " for that game. Crowd goes ape**** as the team runs out the tunnel. Rales and Harris look at each other and smile, both of them thinking " We need to incorporate this somehow ".
And the process begins.

From the same Newswek article:
Hamas head band. Not sure what the flag is. Doesn't look like a student.

The Newsweek article shows no photographic evidence of what you claim. It also uses vague terms like "looks like" and "what appears to be".
The Newsweek article shows this picture:
Here's the same picture from another article.
I would agree, it may not represent the whole crowd, but it's not a good look.

don’t think this is a great argument
It wasn't really intended to be any kind of an argument in favor of war crimes.

Yeah they've been doing it since before I was born. Don't say it too loudly tho. One might get labeled an antisemite. 😉
I'm just curious. Would you consider what Hamas did on Oct 7th " war crimes ", or not ?

It’s a small towel in the shape of a jersey lol
I should have zoomed in.
You can see the stitching around the edge. 😁

Is that a jersey ?
That jersey looks like it has a burgundy outline around it.

Thanks, I guess I don't remember that. Seemed like it would be an obvious move, and the team clearly thought so too.
Jurgensen being on the list signals to me that at some point, Riggins number will be retired, and as you said about the age thing, I'm hoping it happens sometime soon.

Have they retired 9 yet? It would seem like, with Sonny's age, this would have been the first one on the list.
Congrats to DG though. Well deserved.
Third post on this page.

Riggins didn't spend his entire career here. Key guy in team history but not sure his # should be retired. Heck, he quit on the team once, though it may have eventually led to the hiring of Gibbs.
His number should, and will be retired.
