Thats the thing. We don't need entertaining. I want a player, a player who I know is going to bring some things to my team, like leadership and defense. I don't want a wishy washy guy who's "athletic" with "potential". With our luck, he'll suck for the first few years of his rookie contract and then explode right when its time to resign him, as it happens most often.
Curse O' Les Boulez
I agree that we need more than dazzling dunks. But you have to admit that he's an interesting prospect at the 3. We need a solid wing man - or two and if he develops enough of a jump shot to be dangerous - with his size and athleticism he could turn into a solid pick.

Hopefully we pick up Jordan Hamilton at 18 if he is there and maybe Nolan Smith in the 2nd round. But the Vesely pick is growing on me he seems like a funny guy and has a little swag in him with the blake griffin comment from the interview. If nothing else we will be a very entertaining team to watch next year.
Would be very happy with Hamilton or Singleton at 18. And personally I am okay with the Vesely pick - given who was off the board. He will be fun to watch in transition but if he continues to improve his jump shot - then I would love the mismatches he would create as a 6'11 SF.

Kawhi Leonard, Chris Singleton, Morris, Jordan Hamilton, a bunch of players who I consider better than him. But its all for naught. I just hope history doesn't repeat itself.
I'm hoping at least one of those players will be there at 18.

Confidence issue. The FT % will come up in time because he can obviously shoot.
Yeah I just read something that says he tends to fold under pressure. I hope he finds a way to take care of that.

He shoots as well from 3.
Right I saw that. Makes no sense to me.

so we either take Vesely
or Knight if we've made a deal with Utah
Do you know much about Vesely's range? The idea of having a 6'11 athletic swing man playing the 3 would be interesting. But I don't know if we would really play him at SF.

we need to take knight here and trade him along with #18 to Utah for Kanter
It may take more than that to get Kanter but if we can we should jump on that trade.

Damn you Toronto!

if they're both on the board, I go Valanciunas over Vesely
Agreed. Didn't expect Valanciunas to fall to 6th. If he does - I say take him.

personally i'm hoping for a scenario like this:
1. Irving
2. Williams (even tho he really doesn't make much sense for Minny)
3. Knight
4. Valaciunas
5. Biyombo
a fan can dream right?
Would be fantastic - but don't see it happening.

I like Jordan Hamilton here. But okay with Singleton. Not happy if they go any other place.
