Remember Nixon used to call Watergate a witch hunt.

The only difference is that the GOP base today enjoys being treated like morons and will suck the fart out of Donald Trump’s ass to own the libs.

Tricky Dick was notoriously paranoid, so I wouldn't be surprised if he thought his mailman was out to get him.  POTUS' state of mind isn't my point.

Watergate had a burglary, which is a crime.  This Russia investigation has allegations of collusion which is not a crime.  Unless someone can produce the exact statute that was violated or do we need to wait another year and a half for that?

Bribery and money laundering are both crimes, no?

Evidence that Donald Trump was complicit in both please.

Collusion with a hostile foreign government to win an ection is not a crime?

So in your book breaking and entering is a crime but collusion with Russia isn’t.

    Got it.

Good.  I'd hate to think that we've been confusing collusion with conspiracy this whole time.

Aw, no room for dissenting views in this echo chamber of never Trumpers spweing liberal nonsense?

    Got it.

At least by next, Thanksgiving, er, Christmas.

It took over two years of investigation to get Nixon to resign. We haven't had a Congressional investigation yet, although we know the Republicans won't do that.

The great thing about Watergate is that actual crimes were committed and the POTUS was active in trying to hide it.  I'm not seeing the same with the Trump/Russia deal, but I guess if we give Mueller endless time and money, he's sure to come up with something....right???

Is anybody really asking for that?

Personally, I'd settle for not having my tax dollars subsidizing statues that glorify Confederates.

I'd rather see statues of guys who fought for righteous causes. Like the guys who crushed Hitler, for instance.

That's fair too.  Personally, I don't find statues or flags offensive.  I am fully aware of what those things mean to others and the feelings these symbols often evoke.  I'm just curious as to everyone's feelings on the matter.

    Removing monuments honoring the Confederacy.

Most were built decades after the Civil War and served no purpose but to antagonize those who were pushing for Civil Rights during the movement.

Robert E. Lee and Jeb Stuart High Schools in Fairfax county weren't built and named in 1863

Ah ok.  In that respect, it certainly makes sense why folks are so upset about it.  Thanks.
