You all need to watch Silicon Valley on HBO, season just finished up, freaking hilarious.

Anyone have experience with garage door openers?

 

On 1 of ours, the opener will only work if you press and hold the button wired in the garage until the door is all the way open.  A quick press and release (which used to work fine) and the door will only go up about a foot, then it stops suddenly.  Pressing and holding the button in the car does not work.  I've unlocked the garage door and manually opened and closed, and it goes smoothly and there aren't any areas where I feel like I'm forcing it.  No obstructions, and the sensors are lined up fine.  Press and release to close the door works fine.

 

Any suggestions before I bite the bullet and pay someone to come out and try to fix it?

It may be an issue with one of the folding panels being bent for some reason or one of the bars connecting the panels.  I had this happen when I accidently pulled out of the garage with my tailgate open.  I bent one of the panels so it wouldn't go down all the way.   I just hammered it out (gently) with rubber mallet.  It worked, just my garage door makes some loud noises when it's closing.

Cmon Btubes, Road House is classic late 80's schlock.

Between Next of Kin and Road House, Swayze transformed himself from a dancer/actor to a legitimate bad ass dancer/actor.

 

 

edit..speaking of Next of Kin. Looking back on that cast of that movie..it's pretty loaded.

Brief Description:

A bash and toss 80's flick, where Patrick Swayze (Dylan) is a professional bar bouncer/manager who brings order back to a small town bar.

Pro's:

Great 80's style

Fight scenes

Has some great nudity scenes.

Cons:

terrible acting

poor plot

I give it a 3/10

I am shocked at how many people are brushing this off or actually joking about this matter...

It does not matter if NK is not as technology advanced as we are. They can do significant damage in a very short period of time and that alone is extremely scary. We do not want to go to war with this country. A lot of civilian lives are at stake. This is no laughing matter. And I for one am glad our government is taking this seriously...

Had Checker Cab in NYC last weekend, must say one of the best beers I have had in awhile. Anyone ever had it? If so, anyone know where to get in in NOVA?

Anyone else notice the fantasy "overvalued, undervalued, and Sleepers", that were being scrolled across the screen last night during the half-time show...I could of have sworn I saw TJ Duckett as a "sleeper", I remember looking at my roommate being like WTF? Was I seeing things or did anyone else see that? Maybe it was a mistake and they meant to put edge up there...
