  1. I think the only reason I still turn the channel to ECW is because I'm a Paul Heyman mark.

I am a massive Heyman mark. I agree. That and RVD/Sabu.

RVD/Sabu are holding ECW together on their own at this point.

I think this extended deal could mean a better ECW... but yeah it's sucking bad right now.

Even that first RVD/Sabu tag-up in years won't be able to compare with whatever TNA has planned tonight.

I have no idea what they have planned, but I imagine it's gonna be ten tons of awesome in a five ton bag

  2. Tons of respect for Kurt. He's the man.

Yeah it's a shame TNA let Monty go. Vince will make him part of Cryme Tyme and rename him Boceephus Jones or something equally ridiculous.

Raw sucked last night, I can't even finish watching Raw anymore. I jinxed my love of Raw when I flamed sith_lord in his thread about Vince that one time I think.

TNA is awesome right now though, I can't wait for TNA every week.

  3. I really got turned onto WCW late in the game, like 96-97ish. But I still marked out hard for the Horsemen. When they'd get up and start talking all this history and Flair gets on that rant about beating Harley Race that he always gets on. I love it, it keeps the older wrestlers still relevant when their name gets dropped all the time. Keeps people like me who were young fans interested in learning about the older cats.

I was watching TNA Hard Justice again yesterday on the pc and that was really a great PPV. Everyone just brought it. Joe vs Rhino vs Monty was sick.

  4. I am officially a total TNA mark through and through. Those guys are absolutely nuts. Best fans, the best wrestlers, and the ultra-cheesiest angles.

Hahahaha Cornette brings such old school cred to TNA for me, and I feel that they really have the future of the business in their roster.

ECW I think is the only WWE product I can stomach a whole episode. And that's because of Sabu, RVD, and Holly. Regardless of how crappy the product is overall I can trust those guys to bring it in the ring. Well Sabu... I mean he's not exactly the Sabu of 1997.... but he's still a crazy-ass dude and I love seeing him bring the jihad in every match.

(When Sabu goes nuts and points to the sky I always imagine that it's jihad, 'cause then he usually sacrifices the body in some f*cked up way)

  5. wow - I tried to watch raw last night. i came in around the 2nd hour and was bored to tears within seconds of a eugene/hacksaw tag match.

Hopefully Holly destroys someone on ECW tonight, if not WWE might lose the last bit of their viewing I feel like watching on a regular basis. Might be a TNA man purely in a bit except for downloading WWE ppv's.

  6. Anyone who watches wrestling knows Spike TV since shocker WWE used to be on that network. And... They have negotiated a 2 hour time slot with Spike. Don't even begin to diss TNA, it makes ECW version2 look pathetic and Vince has no up and coming talent besides CM Punk.

    Yeah good points.

I don't know, wrestling is such a niche market I really don't give a **** if anyone other than me knows when the show is on. I know when it's on, and I will be tuning in.

    10,000 ****ING TACKS THIS THURSDAY

  7. TNA was ridiculous last night. Who saw it? Oh my god... too many things to comment on.

The Paparazzis are my favorite tag team in wrestling... and that is saying a lot because the tag division in TNA is hot right now. They barely inch out the LAX. They are an extension of the kliq basically... and the kliq is my ish.

Whenever I hear about the Kliq refusing to job, or like holding down some dude back in the day or still. Whatever whatever.... :notworthy

Anyway... Nash is beginning to pass his coolness onto Shelley and Devine. Shelley in particular has that Nash surliness down. I mark the f out when he spits at a dude hahaha.

What else... seeing Daniels and AJ get destroyed was amazing. The LAX like I said... are insane. Konnan, Hernandez, Homicide, Jack.. those guys are it. They have the whole package. Hernandez just tosses dudes with that Powerbomb too. It's like a jackknife outsider's edge. They're monster over... I go nuts for that entrance. Revolution!!!

Abyss vs Spike... WOAH... 10,000 tacks next week. Nuff said.

And Sting vs JJ at Bound for Glory. I am calling it now... Sting is dropping the crow gimmick at Bound for Glory.

FINALLY... I think it's been time. But this seems like the right way to do it if he does it. Those promo packages they show keep hinting at it. I'm ready for it. Stinger's gonna come back... I mean... BACK.

Just like Ric Flair... Sting's about to go through a revival I think. I pray he resigns for next year. I think he is only under a 1 year contract.

Anyway... I hope someone else is hopelessly marking out for this show like I am. WWE really can't touch it, but I will tune into Raw still as long as Vince is on TV actively like he's been. He's too funny. He's the Shatner of wrestling.

  8. I have the whole PPV, boss. If you got AIM or MSN I can send it to you after work. PM me.

Foley vs Flair was just... everything it was touted to be haha. Two crazy old ****s doing crazy sick things, and Flair calling everyone a son of a ***** and threatening murder.

Oh and you know Foley was serious about this match - he does the Nestea Plunge.

  9. Wow I was really kinda burnt out on wrestling after checking out the Summerslam matches after work. I watched Raw though because watching the Cowboys stomp the Saints is not at all interesting to me.

But yeah hahaha, dude I don't think they blew anything with Jeff. Jeff got his big pop - he did his flippy little backwards forwards kicks or whatever, and threw some of the most limp-wristed punches this side of a drunken 49ers brawl.

Edge summed Jeff's whole life up in about 2 seconds.

"Didn't you die like 3 years ago?"

But as I said before, I'll enjoy watching Jeff crash and burn again. On a positive note I don't think he blew more than 2 or 3 spots in that match.

  10. Jeff Hardy has been broken and done for years now. I mean - I'd like for him to come back rejuvenated and motivated, and like the Jeff Hardy of 1998-1999 when he had potential... but he probably won't be.

Lucky for me, I enjoy watching wrestlers deteriorate into jokes. In a funny ha-ha way not a funny -eww way. It's hilarious. Bigger ladders and tables, let's do it.

I watched Foley vs Flair and Edge vs Cena from the ppv.

First Edge and Cena match I really felt it had the drama and suspense to be a main event of a huge PPV. No knock on them but it takes time to establish personalities in the main event. I think they've cemented it. And the brass knux win was classy. Brass knux are so Flair. Hell yeah, Edge is a real *champion*.

  11. Did you also do the faceplant? Flair going into a fit still makes me fall out the chair laughing. I remember one during the nWo days of WCW when he finished the second half of the interview just saying nothing but "HOGAN!" over and over again with this crazed look on his face.

What about the promo against HHH a while back when he was begging for the cage match? Flair just beat himself in the face 'til his wounds re-opened and he was bleeding a gusher. Like a 10 on the Muta Scale.

Then he just kept going "CAGE! CAGE! CAGE! CAGE!!"
