  1. I did not renew my 4 LL seats and green parking this year. Part of it was the price increase, but ultimately it came down to the overall cost to have 4 tickets vs. buying individual games, and making co-attendees pay the full value of the ticket. Each game is $520 for my 4 seats and parking... which means I am over $1,000 deep before I even step foot in the stadium for week one.

Each seat cost me $120 per game. I can buy the club level SRO seats for around $75 for almost any game from stub hub. I enjoyed watching the game there better than in my cramped seats anyways. I can pretty much attend every game for less than the cost of my preseason tickets. And it will be nice not having to worry about filling all four seats every game.

Most likely, I will go to 6 or 7 games. I can sit in dream seats once and then just buy Club SRO's and I will still spend the same money as just the preseason.

The reality is this... as the online ticket marketplace has matured, there need to be a season ticket holder is decreasing. You can now get seats to any game, with much less effort then ever before. The one caution I would throw out there is that you should never under any circumstance buy a ticket from craigslist or a scalper. There is a ton of fraud going on. Using stubhub and ticketmaster gives us buyers additional protections.

BTW... My decision has nothing to do with Dan Snyder.. I don't hate him like many other people.... it is just simple math.

  2. And you are participating in the auto upgrade program? You've filled out the online form from your account and and provided your preferences for the past three years? If you have, then you should call the TO and find out why. It does seem odd that no seats have opened up in section 228 in three years. Ask to speak with the manager if you do not get reasonable answers from the agent who answers the phone. Getting angry is not going to solve your problem/issue.

Your complaint about people moving from the UL to the LL has little merit for your case. All those people are being placed in sections farther from the 50 yard line than yourself. Do you have a note saying an upgrade to the 100 level is OK? (If that is something you are willing to accept) Remember, the 200 sections have fewer seats and could mean fewer opportunities to open up for you. Ask the manager how many seats opened in section 228 this year and last year.

    Good luck

I was enrolled in the auto upgrade program and paid my invoice immediately when it was sent. I told them my preference was to move closer to the field and I was willing to sit anywhere.

I just called the ticket office to get an explanation, and the rep said that there was limited availability for upgrades due to strong renewals. He said that there were a lot of LL people who did not get upgrades. I guess this makes sense with RG3 coming to town. The guy was nice and didn't seem like he was blowing smoke, so I decided there is no reason to get fired up. My seats really aren't that bad.. so I shouldn't be complaining.

  3. I am unhappy with no upgrade this year.. also considering dropping my tickets next year. I have been a STH for 11 years now. My seats are in the 229 row 14 (Corner of the endzone). I don't understand how people are getting upgraded from the UL into the 100's but I was not moved forward at all.

I better not call the ticket office because if they make me the offer of a full refund, I might take them up on it.

  4. My new section is right next to you in 207.

You can always call the TO if you have to know. What section are you in and how long have you been a STH? As I noted in my two recent posts, upgrades have occurred throughout the summer from time to time as the TO fills in spots and determine how many seats they need tor reserve for players, visiting players, media, etc.

I have been a STH for 11 years. I am in section 229. When I called, they told me that I would be notified via email by the end of June. I have been checking my account through the website a few times per day. My invoice is still visible, but I cannot pull up the tickets for the individual games.

  5. Most lower level upgrades appear to be completed based on the lack of reports and some TO conversations. TO seems to be working on the upper level upgrades now. But in previous years there have been some late upgrades reported in the lower level.

This thread sure is a lot quieter this year than the past two years, however.

I am still holding out hope that Sonny and Sam is wrong. I haven't received any notification yet. I was notified of my upgrade on June 20th last year.

  6. Well I just called today myself at 4:30 and the guy I spoke to said that they are still doing LL upgrades and they wont be done till near the end of June. So I dont know if you got lied to or I got lied to just to get me off the phone...hmmmmmm....

When I called the ticket office, they said the same thing. They said I would get notification by the end of June via email. Everyone needs to be patient (including myself). Lol!

  7. No... that does not mean anything. The tickets disappeared and then reappeared. I think we are going to find out very soon. I also imagine that almost every person that asked for an upgrade is going to receive something (unless you already have really good seats). I know a ton of people who gave up their tickets. I've been a season ticket holder for 11 years and I have never seen a home playoff game. If they don't make the playoffs in the next few years, I will have to consider giving up my tickets.

  8. I just checked my season ticket account, and there is an auto upgrade invoice showing up, but my seats are the same. I called the ticket office to see what the deal is. (The ticket office did not answer) Does anyone else have anything similar?

    ---------- Post added May-29th-2012 at 01:17 PM ----------

Nevermind... it is my 2011 auto upgrade invoice. It is still a change from what was there last week. I am dying to see where my new tickets are.

  9. The problem with a 200 level ticket is that if you ever have to sell it on stub hub, there are other tickets (restricted view) that sell way below the face of a normal ticket. You have to then explain to people that your seats are not restricted view... it ends up being a hassle. Also, I think I would like to be a little bit closer, although, I do not want to stand for 85% of the game. Maybe I should call the ticket office and try to cancel my auto upgrade request.
