Generally, I suspect with running/more mobile QBs we are going to start to see them treated more like RBs. With the idea that they have only so many hits/runs in them and their value drops to the point that the big/long term extension doesn't make sense.
For somebody like Hurts, small injuries seem to have built up and sapped him of his ability/desire to make big plays in the run game.
but that touche-push though

I don’t know that Daniels is clearly better. Daniels had a fantastic season and is a great runner. But he struggles with understanding how to minimize contact and his deep passes are most often to receivers with more than a few yards of separation.
He’s been decent his entire career but nothing beyond that this year. And while this year was stellar, I worry about his down field accuracy and field vision as it pertains to reading coverage and not leading already open receivers.
But he’s a great prospect. I think Daniels is QB3 but I can see why folks like him.
Here is my take on Maye and Daniels.
Daniels put up spectacular numbers against the top competition this year. He put up great numbers against top competition last year. Maye's numbers are mediocre compared to Daniel's and he played against mediocre competition (SEC>B1G>PAC12>BIG12(?)>ACC). Drake Maye played for a college that loves cranking out trash QBs.
I will be extremely unhappy if Washington drafts Maye.

Put me in the camp that believes we need to make a run at a franchise QB with this #2 pick. It would be great to somehow trade down and get 2 1st round picks, a top 10 pick to get Jayden Daniels, with the other to grab an OT, but that's highly unlikely to happen.

I'm more concerned about elite defenses than elite QBs.

No way I would draft Drake Maye. Seems bizarre to me that he is even considered when Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams are clearly better.

Maybe Del Rio will actually try to coach now that he doesn't have probowl-caliber DEs to lean on, because leaning on the front-4 has worked great all season.

O-Line once again living down to expectations.

I'm a little concerned that Bienimy wasn't the primary play caller for KC. Seems like it wasn't his offense.

Roman is a run game guy but I'm curious if he could scheme something up with our WRs.
He is a horrible, horrible passing game coordinator. I've been forced to watch the Ravens for years now, due to living in the Baltimore area. Lamar made him look good early, but as teams began to gameplay better against his strengths Roman showed no ability to adjust his schemes.
The only reason to hire Roman would be to ensure the new owner will clean house at the end of the season.

I can see 2 reasons why Gibbs isn't mentioned as one of the greatest NFL coaches ever.
1) He is a reserved personality. Never generated a lot of attention for himself on the national scene. Was always happy to let everyone else in the org get attention. Meekly loved the Lord, etc.
2) He might have been a victim of what made him one of the best. After Joe T., none of his quarterbacks were particularly engaging on national scene. He won with a lot of quiet, no-name type players. The Hogs remain the most enduring personalities at least tangentially related to the org.
Bonus:
3) Kind of relates to #1, Joe took care of his business in-house. If he had a problem with a player, or a coach, or was disappointed in the team's performance in general, he kept any fiery or spicy talk behind closed doors, away from the media. He rarely gave the media much to blow up into big stories.

In general, hiring nepo-babies for coordinators seems like a bad idea. However, I think these two are solid.
