@DCGoldPants
I was just watching the Video On-Demand at Redskins.com with Ade Jimoh talking about staying in shape....blah blah blah. But what was important, was his pride in being a special teams ace. I'll be the 1st to admit the guy was a problem a few years ago when he was playing om D (Spurrier years). And I blasted him weekly. Especially after that Pats game. But he was 1st to admit that a few years back that his game was weak....and its improved now. Who says that anymore? Then he even plugged the video of OTA's next week. Without Larry even suggesting it. crazy. Well, I must say that for every video that seems kind of blah...... like Gibbs talking about how important "May" is. There is a video like this were you really feel like you're getting an inside look. This guy takes pride in being a Special Teamer. That's nice
TK
You know what? With all the hoopla & build up for the five part interview series with Gibbs, it sure was a letdown, to me personally. I mean, I expected more then the sixty second/one question interview. It just seemed like to me that they had to much buildup for them to deliver on. The Jimoh clip sounds interesting. I'll take alook at it after we're done the Karl Swanson chat.
E-Dog Night
I don’t know that his problem was that he didn't get it, his skills were just not NFL quality. The guy must like the fact that he makes the NFL minimum (a pay day that any of would be thrilled about) and if he has to play special teams to get that paycheck, will then, so be it. I don't remember him having an attitude problem - please correct me if I am wrong. I still don't want to see him in the secondary, but I'll be thrilled if he proves he can handle it. We'll be nicely deep at CB if that turns out to be the case. Just wish some of that team attitude would rub off on a couple of Redskins that immediately come to mind... I don't know if I agree with that. His skills may be NFL quality, but he doesn't seem to play smart. He takes a lot of risks in the secondary, and more often than not got burned. Nice that he's taken to the role of ST. Jason
G-Prime
I think the Redskins as a team needs to stfu for a few months.
33
I love how he goes on for a couple minutes about the cars at Redskins Park. Seems like a real down to earth, hard working guy. I'm enjoying him more already.
bubba9497
I bet he doesn't "get it" as often as Sean Taylor :hump:
chow184
Ade is a good guy,I only trust him on special teams though. I would have a heart attack if he started on defense......
mookie0720
The only reason a lot of you are surprised is because you dislike Jimoh based on the few times he was burnt in the preseason, and the one time during a real game. He's actually been a good special teams player for us.
ThatGuy
Jimoh sucked fiercely his 1st year here. He's improved a lot, and he played some last year, if Williams thinks enough of him to keep him, then I do too.
authentic
At least he isn't Ralph Brown, i know he's not here anymore..but when Torry Holt spun the ball in his face after burning him for a TD back in the preseason.. i almost puked.
@DCGoldPants
I thought keeping him over Bauman was a mistake. But, Williams so far has known his stuff when it comes to D. AND....Smith has gotten the kid to perform on teams. So, my position on the guy has changed......as his play has changed.

He was put in situations his first year that he never should've been anywhere near. Poor coaching gave him his bad reputation. He shouldn't have been on the field at that point. Just give him a chance and actually watch him without the prejudice. He'll surprise you.
Yomar
after watchin that video, I can no longer hate Ade Jimoh *sigh* I still would rather not see him playing on defense, but I now have to acknowledge the fact that he is a human being, and seemingly a nice one to boot... I guess there is a downside to all of this access afterall
Grumpy Vet
I think Jimoh is the "anti-christ". Is it possible my assessment was rash and not accurate? I may have to listen to this.....Jimoh ranked among my least favorite Redskins right below Gramps.
Bang
Well, the coaches do indeed see something in him, so I'll go with the "they know more than I" reasoning. At times, I have also been P.O.'d at his mistakes.. I call him "Ja-mook". HOWEVER, he has played pretty well on Special Teams, last year especially, and If he truly does 'get it' then I imagine he will continue to grow into an asset. ~Bang

RedskinLifer
I'm not surprised that he seemed like a good guy personally, I just don't think he's a good corner. Of course, no matter who they do these interviews with, I really doubt that anyone will come off as a tool. Wait, before I post that, Bruce Smith IS gone, right? Yomar
I'm not surprised either, I just always considered him more of a bane to my existence than a person. Watching that video sort of deflates the "anti-christ" aura that I apparently wasn't alone in attaching to him
jrockster21
He's very well-spoken and articulate. And he seems like he has a very good attitude, which is probably why Gibbs likes him. And he does do well on special teams, and who knows, maybe one of these days the CB position will just come to him and he'll figure it out. Maybe a nickel back? Side note: I didn't realize that he went to the same school as Chris Cooley...and they were there around the same time!
ArmchairRedskin
Damn you Jimoh for being likeable! :cuss: Now I'm a fan of the guy. This all access stuff from Redskins.com really does have a downside. Ah I'm just kidding Jimoh. I hope you blossom this year and have a chance to shine. Good Luck. You got a bunch of us that were drinking the Ade haterade to put down the cup. Make us proud. Shotgunner
I thought Jimoh was supposed to have blazing speed? I don't know if that's true but that sure helps you out as a db.:point2sky
ntotoro
There has to be something in him coaches keep seeing and liking. Even Chump (FWIW) had good things to say about his skills. There must be something there. Every time we turn around and say the dude's out of here, he pops up and returns again. He must have something going for him that they like.
