Dead Money
Nemo off to rough start at minicampBroughton first Bulldog drafted in 10 years May. 3, 2005 Washington, DC - Citadel running back Nehemiah Broughton had a rough start as a professional football player over the weekend. A seventh-round pick of the Washington Redskins, the "Nemo-sapien" suffered a strained hamstring during the team's rookie camp on Saturday and missed much of the three-day camp. "Among our drafted guys, Nehemiah Broughton was the only guy we were discouraged with because he had a hamstring pull," said Redskins coach Joe Gibbs. Nemo will have a chance to make up for the lost time. The Redskins will continue with voluntary workouts through May, then hold their only full-squad minicamp in mid-June. golfgram
Seriously though. That is a pretty harsh statement coming from Gibbs. Did something else negative happen with Nemo or is Gibbs just upset about his durability?
VaSkinsNut
It was taken a bit out of context. The inteview with Gibbs is on redskins.com. He didn't sound upset or anything about it.
bulldog
relax, folks. Dexter Manley missed time in camp his rookie season with a hamstring as a #5 pick and he turned out okay  Gibbs didn't arbitrarily cut him...............
Darth Tater
The scary thing about a low rounder having an injury is that they are much more likely to come back from it before its healed and make the injury chronic enough that this draft choice adds NO value to the team.
