Ernie5
he doesn't like the campbell pick though, wanted mike williams. i wonder what his talent evaluation credentials are? What are anybody's? Glad Legler's a fan. I personally like the Campbell pick more every day & believe that people who say with a smirk "Hey, who's running the show THERE?" are looking more idiotic all the time. Campbell was Gibbs' move -- not a glamour pick, not even a completely popular pick (and if think Gibbs didn't already know that, you're a lost cause) -- and going after him was consistent with Gibbs' stated goal of making the team better over the long haul. I don't think he's really too concerned that all his moves pay off while he's an active coach.

jbooma
I liked how Gibbs said there wasn't a player at #25 who would have cracked our starting lineup, so that is why they went with the QB for the future. A few points, when asked about our WR Gibbs said "We LOVE Jacobs", seems he is pushing all the buttons on Taylor and wants a big year from him The one thing I don't like though is he still has never said Ramsey is the future, he only says he is the starter. I am wondering if Joe knows something that Ramsey may not want to resign with us after his contract his up, and this is his plan B?? Everyone has said that Joe doesn't want Ramsey, maybe it is the other way around, oh well we have time.
MidPennSkin
Hey, Gibbs is acting like a GM and planning for the future with the Campbell pick. Suprise!

Doesn't mean I'd spend half a draft on him. Stoked that we spent a 1st, 3rd, and 4th to get a "good guy" who is also a "value pick." This guy better turn out to be an All-Pro b/c that's the only way he'll be looked at as a "value pick."

joe
The most interesting thing to me about the interview were his comments on Taylor Jacobs. I have always thought that this guy did not get enough of a chance and had the talent to succeed. Perhaps, Gibbs knew what he was doing when he passed on Mike Williams, because the skins simply do not need him
