Westbrook36
TO's statement will have no bearing on the team this year and most of you know it. IF McNabb took exception, noone would ever know because the guy is unflappable. I bet they'll be clowning for the camera in no time whatsoever. Yeah... he showed that in the 4th Quarter of the Super Bowl... I do think he's classy enough to not reply publicly to TO's remarks. It's a shame TO isn't man enough to avoid it to being with. Suzanne4sure
You can't say he isn't consistent. The Eagles knew what they were getting when they traded for TO... and they got it. The guy played phenomenal during the Super Bowl and McNabb IMO choked! I like the guy. So he has a mouth.

While I would like Lavar to keep his mouth shut, I wouldn't consider his comments a boulder. I mean he hardly played at all last year and we still finished with the #3 defense in the league. An unhappy Lavar will have less effect than an unhappy WR who finally put your team over the hump...especially when you consider you might not have Freddie as his backup Originally posted by Westbrook36 TO's statement will have no bearing on the team this year and most of you know it. I cannot believe you called McNabb unflappable on a Redskins message board? Did you not think the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl would still be fresh in our minds? The only reason we don't know McNabb's opinion is because his personal spokesman, Mr Mitchell, has not spoken up for him yet:puke:

Man, WB36, you have got to be the biggest Eagle homer ever created. Are you serious!?!??! He is basically calling McFlabb a pu$$y. Yeah, they maybe clowning in front of the camera, but that is one of those things that sticks in your head. You can't honestly believe that isn't going to effect the chemistry they developed. TO is a cancer, plain and simple!! That should be evident to even the most blind homer...oh wait, I guess it isn't...  I'm just glad the Skins didn't trade for him!! TODD
Westbrook, seriously, five months from now, are either of these two clowns' (LaVar and Owens) dumb comments going to be prevalent in the minds of their teams? No.

Danny Montana
The most unbelievable thing is that most Eagle fans are naive enough to think that TO is somehow a changed man since he put on the Eagles jersey. Eagle fans can spin TO's comments here all they want, it doesn't matter. Owen's collective "body of work" is impressive as any player in the league when it comes to being a team cancer. Everyone knows it's only a matter of time before things go sour between TO and Philly. Well, everyone except for the most stubborn of Eagles homers. Everyone else is just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

phanatic
I don't think you understand where W36 is coming from. These statements are almost a necessity for the Eagles. Every year they fell short we heard the same sugar coated canned speech. What TO essentialy does is drag those sorry ass performances into the light where they can't hide behind an Andy Reid, cough laden post mortem. When they brought TO in, I was hoping he'd light a fire under some a$ses. IT WAS NEEDED. Reid and co. created a fantastic team that lacked a heartbeat and an edge. TO IS a top 2 WR AND can make the comments he has, so far. Honestly, there's no doubt in my mind that the Eagles could have pulled off the best record in the NFL from 00-10 without TO. The question is is that enough? How about a championship? To's attitude elevates a very good team and sinks a poor performer.\ I'm a gambler and I can't stand the staus quo. The risk will reap the reward. Who else will challenge them this season? Ron Mexico and company?
CrazyZeb
That sounds all well and good, but TO's doing it for selfish reasons. He's not trying to light a fire, he's trying to get a new contract.

However, how many top three receivers are there in the league. THREE. In my opinion, he's the best with Moss in a very close second (Harrison? who's throwing to him?). So, for the best WR I'll put up with the crap.
tr1
Calling out your quarterback in the national press....TO must think he's still in San Francisco! From the Redskins' point of view. Do you have any idea of what the media is like there? The topic of failure is discussed ad nauseum by every media outlet in that city. Honestly, I generally cannot stand the way TO runs his mouth. I do not like him calling out his QB in public ... But then again, he is right. McNabb was dragging butt the whole fourth quarter. TO was still running his behind off after having a broken leg and missing seven weeks with no work out.
