I'm one of the three people left driving a stick and I know very few guys that can even drive one these days. The good news is that I live in Chicago and I know my car will never get stolen, (or if it does, I'll find it 15-20 feet from where I left it). It's been so long since I've driven a stick, but I could probably pick it back up. But I'll never purposely buy a vehicle with manual transmission. Too much work in traffic. I'm not super-attached to it at this point, but having lived in Detroit and Chicago for most of my adult life, I do love the control on bad winter roads.
