inmate running the asylum Posted December 29, 2004 Author Share Posted December 29, 2004 Roster Move: Goodspeed Released By Gary Fitzgerald Redskins.com December 28, 2004 The Redskins released offensive lineman/tight end Dan Goodspeed on Tuesday. Goodspeed, who worked mostly at tight end with the Redskins, was signed to the roster on Dec. 15 and was inactive for two games. The Redskins are expected to fill Goodspeed's roster spot with another player on Wednesday. With Fred Smoot and Ade Jimoh nursing injuries that could sideline them for Sunday's game against Minnesota, the Redskins may add another defensive back to the roster. Sounds good now just think how much better it will be when we draft Mike Williams to add to that mix....He will catch the intermediate routes and fades down the sideline....You have Coles on the crossing routes and deep outs to make use of his speed and you have Franks and Cooley over the middle as chkdown options for Ramsey....Our O will be able to get those tough first downs when needed w/that lineup... Our weakness on Offense centers around the fact we don't dominate the line of scrimage. Without that we suck and Gibbs can't work his offense. If we get a line that allows Gibbs to do what he wants, we won't need a mike williams to dominate games. O-line, DE, then WR. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
