Reaganaut
:hammer: OK, I'll hammer myself before I go any further. I drew this comparison with a friend last night because of Patrick's penchant for staying in the pocket too long, taking sacks, and forcing the ball into coverage. Do we know for sure that Rob Johnson didn't rub off on Patrick when he was here last year?

Reaganaut
:doh1: Wow. I have a headache now. Hasslebeck is a gamer, maybe he gets in there if Patrick (Rob) Ramsey keeps up this kind of performance. I'm actually a fan of his, but he has to get his act together very soon. Hasslebeck did great last year in his place.
Ghost of
Gibbs said Pat isnt holding the ball too long. Ram also makes plays when he's back there. Pat is a class act and smart as a whip. So you really should just shoot yourself now.

xanathos19
OF the three INT's...how many do you blame solely on Ramsey? The one in the EZ to Laveranues is so-so...good route, but I don't think he was totally open and with enough space to make that pass. The deep one to Gardner was just a bad pass...no way that is going to get completed.
Hooper
Patrick is smart as a whip -- he just hasn't showed it on the football field yet. Hope he does Monday night!
Hooper
So you write off Hass after a couple bad games -- despite no training camp, hell the guy was signed in the middle of the season -- but you still think we need to give Ramsey more time? Doesn't make a lot of sense. That said, I am nowhere near ready to write PR off. Hopefully he can put that cannon of his to good use on Monday night. He pulls out a win on Monday against Dallas and nobody remembers the Giants game! He'll be proclaimed by all of us to be the full-time starter when we win on Monday. Ramsey can learn the offense, and can learn to be more comfortable in the pocket. Hasselbeck can't learn to throw the ball harder. Didn't we go through this with Danny Weurffel? Shotgunner
That is not fair. PR has already past RJ as an NFL QB C'mon, will you please!!!:wewantd: :dallasuck :wewantd:

TheSteve
Patrick Ramsey has a stronger arm, is more sound fundamentally, does not have happy feet, and is not a prima donna like Rob Johnson. How dare you. The Rob Johnson replica is injured in Buffalo behind Drew Bledsoe. His name is J.P. Losman.
SkinsLegacy44
WTF?????? There is no comparision. Ramsey is much stronger and isn't as flamboyant as RJ.
Hooper
Hass's arm is stronger than Danny Woeful's. It's also arguably stronger than Chad Pennington's and he's one of the best young qbs in the game. By no means am I saying he's better than Ramsey; the fact is Hass's physical limitations probably can't be overcome. But if Ramsey doesn't start showing some football acumen in the near future, I wouldn't be surprised if Gibbs gives Hass a shot. But I really hope it doesn't come to that. If Gibbs puts Hasselback in for any reason other than injury, that'll mean he's given up on the season. I seriously doubt we'll see that.
Hooper
I'm not so sure about that. If Ramsey throws three picks in a half again, what would you do as coach?

CHAMBURGER
I don't think your being fair with Pat. First, Gibbs offense is complicated and even Brunell who is a 10 year vet has not mastered it. Second, Pat got no reps with the first team this past week. Third, Gibbs himself said Pat made some good plays and has all the gifts needed to excel as a QB, and I think last just look at the last two years in comparison to the QB's taken ahead of him and you will see LESS ints and MORE TD's and a higher QB rating!!! I think the Kid has a bright future!!
spanishomelette
Did any team bother to sign Rob "I'm on my ass again" Johnson this year? This guy was clueless last year, and I'm sure those around him picked up on that.
