Our QB's need to get serious with play action

Seriously, our fakes are pitiful. I mean come on, both Brunell and Ramsey, Ramsey looked like at the end of last year he was doing a little better but still pitiful.

It may sound stupid but it makes a huge difference. Peyton Manning has that down and he has WR's running wide open sometimes b/c of it.

They said during the Vols/Gators game that Chris Leak realized he needed to really work on that, and he did it really well, and it worked really well, guys just wide open b/c of it. Some DB is always peeking in the backfield, not to mention the LB's.

Where is Tony Banks when you need him, his play action was sweet.

Play action was the only thing that Tony Banks did well for us. Maybe he could show these guys how to fake?

Except for the fact that he was 8-3 as our starter. People knock him, and i'm not at all saying he is a good QB, but he was 8-3 as our starter. Lets not forget that.

And if play action is the only thing he did well, that just shows you how important play action is. If you can go 8-3 with that alone.

Its simple, not too hard, but if executed right the play action fake can be the most dominant move in football. Peyton Manning is so good that even when they arent running the ball at all he can get it to work. Chris Leak is going to be a hell of a player, I hate the Gators but damn that kid is something. The composure he had all night in Knoxville, whoa. That was something else. And to realize at such a young age the little things you can do to make your game better, such as play action, he's already almost got it down like Peyton.

Just like the pump fake can be the most dominant move in basketball.

Tony Banks pulled off awesome fakes. The argument can be made that the Redskins were 8-3 despite his play, rather than because of it, but I've always thought that he gets a bit of a bad rap on this board. He was a fighter, and it pained him to lose. He wasn't blessed with great skill or football smarts, but he nearly killed himself every game trying to win. I can respect that.
