Gamebreaker
I've never seen so many knee-jerk reactions in my life. What did you people expect? For Gibbs to come in, and the team was going to instantly become a SuperBowl or playoff contender? That is not reality. The majority of the teams that do well in this league end up playing in the same system several years before everyone gets on the same page. It is just WEEK 2, and I'm already seeing the doom and gloom threads. Members are blaming individual players for losing the game, when the whole offense just downright stunk. I'm not tripping off this game, because I know Gibbs and staff will work on the issues this team has. And if a superior coaches can't get these players to play better, then in the off-season they'll find players who will. Furthermore, we saw alot of uncharacteristic performances from some of our better players. The OL was allowing too much pressure, Portis had a horrible game, Gardner is always dropping passes but even Coles was too. I have enough sense to realize that if a player doesn't play up to his usual performance for just ONE GAME, that he isn't some kind of bum all of a sudden.
WallyG3
What's funny is now the lashback threads are outnumbering the kneejerk threads.

Neophyte
I don't think it is the loss people are upset about but rather the manner of the loss... 7 turnovers is tough to stomach from any team much less a Gibbs coached team.

Potato Sack
So it takes awhile to get to a playoff season when a coach comes in? Someone tell Vermeil that. We have plenty of talent being coached up by Mr. Gibbs himself. I expect nothing less than a winning season this year. Call me overly-optimistic. Call me a knee-jerk, but that was a sorry excuse for an offense yesterday. I don't care who's coaching them.
Saint Joe
This is the NFL and on any given day, any team beat any other team. Even the very good teams will lose to some very bad ones. Last week, the Ravens got whipped by the Browns and this week the Packers got whipped by the Bears. Now, seven turnovers is a bit sickening and the way the offense played for the second stright week is concerning at best. The team looked unprepared and lackadaisical, especially on offense. I can tell you one thing though, the team won't come out unprepared and lackadaisical next week.
MrWill
The worst thing for this team is to come out all hyped up as the favorite, and score a quick TD. Overconfidence is a killer, just as it was yesterday. Also remember, a loss is a good thing sometimes. That being said, 7 turnovers is horrific.....people are going to be hurting in practice this week.

Gibbs has had two games, what exactly is your point? Furthermore, it took Vermeil twice as long to make the Rams good. Which would've never happened if he didn't hire Mike Martz as his offensive coordinator.
