prophet
Do you he is back to being a top tier qb....on a bad team?
Guest Westbrook36
He's better than what the Skins have right now but he's still in the bottom half of the starting QB's in the league.
Arsenic
The Redskins out-gained the Giants in offensive yards by 322 to 277 and had 20 first downs to the Giants 15. Turnovers killed us. Of course Warner is going to look good with that many oppourtunities and starting at the in his own territory the majority of the game.
Joe Sick
He doesn't look totally washed up anymore. He looks pretty adequate, actually. Scary question here. Would his ability to throw the deep ball behind a solid O-Line been a better fit for the Skins than Brunell?
halter91
Quite simple....Mr. Brenda Warner after the game whats your thoughts on Warner? He still Sucks!:gaintsuck
McNabbOwnsFedEx
Warner still throws a very accurate ball. Give him time and he'll pick any team apart. Congrats on his first win in over 2 years.
Blondie
He didn't look washed up as many had stated. He didn't lose his poise throughout the game. He could be dangerous still if his line gets better. Blondie
jbooma
he is finally healthy and with a decent Oline he should produce
Mr. S
think about it, if we didnt have soo many turnovers, he definitely would not have had that time to throw so much, and Gibbs coulda ran his time consuming football. Warner got away with no picks, but considering those turnovers, another qb coulda gotten more points, especially with the talent on offense the Giants do have, whether you admit it or not. Brunell may still be a competent WCO QB, but he doesn't have the arm to run Gibbs' O. As boneheaded as Ramsey was on those INTs, there was a HUGE difference in how effective our O was at moving the ball. If only we'd signed Collins or Warner, we might make the playoffs this year. I think Gibbs was overly taken by Brunell's faith and past history, and overlooked how washed up he is.
ntotoro
after the game whats your thoughts on Warner? Not as badly off as I originally thought he was, but still not going to singlehandedly win games. Serviceable, in other words. Nick
GhostRider
He is a good qb when given time, otherwise he's a fumbling machine. With a good offensive line he's really good. Warner, Garcia, Collins, all would have been better starting Redskin qb's than Brunell. Brunell would be better suited in a West Coast offense that awards short accurate passes. f_dallas
Do you he is back to being a top tier qb....on a bad team? To me, he looked like the same guy he has been the past few years. If you don't pressure him consistently, he can still break down a defense and make a lot of throws.
Soliloquy
I think Warner's thumb is finally all healed up. I knew we were in trouble when he looked relaxed and confident on the sidelines, chatting up other players.
Tom [Giants fan]
Honestly, he isn't what he was. Not even close. But, he also isn't what he has been the last two years. He is playing well enough where I will be happy to have Manning sit a year and learn while Warner hopefully keeps the Giants competitive. And Warner himself has said he is not completely comfortable in this new system and with his WR's yet. It can only get better. But by no means the MVP he was. 3DaysLatr
I have to tip my cap to Warner. He hung in there under lots of heat and delivered. His weapons are just different now. He hooked up on alot of short stuff because he had to, and when he got a deep look he took it and got the connection the one time to Carter. (I think he missed a couple as well, but in my thinking that's understandable because the shot to Carter was the only one where he wasn't moving around). Now he isn't going to be throwing for 4000 yards and 30+ TDs like he did with the Rams, but that's not what the Giants need from him. He hung in there and delivered, I give credit where it is due.
