KDawg
Let's fill the board with posts saying how badly we stink, and how awful we were against the Giants... Talk about how our season is finished and all of our QBs are trash... Go ahead... you know you want to... But when you do it... Take note that I will be marking EVERY post that has any type "We suck" attitude towards it... and come the end of the season when everyone else is celebrating a playoff berth, I'll remind you how bad we suck... We're fine... We played awful today, no doubt about it... but don't even BEGIN to believe our season is tanked... We had SEVEN turnovers, almost eight, should have had TEN.... We lost by six. Think about that.
afparent
Ok, we sucked TODAY. But what I take from this game is the coaching was A+. Gibbs playcalling was HOF material. After halftime, his adjustments were, well, like Gibbs like. We moved the ball up and down the field, but turnovers costs us the game. I doubt very seriously we will have a game like this again. Defense was awesome. We gave them all their points. Defense was great in the second half when we needed the ball. Yea it sucks we lost, but you know we are not going to be a turnover type team. This was a rare experience and this teams has lessons to learn and I am glad their learned this lesson in week two. In the long run, and I mean this season, we will be fine. skinsfan93
I agree. The best thing to come from all of this is that it happened in week 2 and not when we are looking to make a playoff run. Let's show some patience with the whole thing...
Grumpy Vet
Yeah.....I'm not saying doom and gloom....but w/ those turnovers....it ain't good......it gets fixed this week or Dallas will spank us like a naughty monkey.
Canadian Hog
Let's think about this: The Giants were 1/13 on third down conversions. Whenever we needed the ball, our defense got us the ball. A far cry from a season ago and a welcomed change. The Giants only TD came on a 37 yard drive, courtesy of a bad play by Matt Bowen. Our defense has given up ONE TD in two games. To be a championship-type team you need a championship-type defense. Our defense is showing signs that it will be a strong unit that we can rely on all season. Our offense will be fine with time. Gibbs put us in a position to win in the second half. We all need to remember that even hall of fame coaching CANNOT overcome human error. 7 turnovers is inexusable. We got our bad game out of our system now. If you feel the players don't think as if they let down their coach, put in the game tape again and take a look at the faces of Coles and Gardner at the end. We will be back and this is a good wake up call for our players going into the Dallas game.
Dallsux
Man, we SUCKED! We are DONE for the SEASON! Brunell is awful, Ramsey was WAY off & will never learn, Portis...don't even get me started! What the HELL was going on out there? j/k Yes, it was an ugly game. The funny thing is, we still could have won it...but, alas, we didn't. Oh well, I expected some losses (as I think we all did/do). I didn't exactly expect a loss like THIS to the Giants, but hey, Giants Stadium is a tough place to play, & boy did it show. Lady Luck was definately on the G-Men's side. And what I mean by that is simply that Portis fumbles twice, unheardof & Brunell throws his 1st INT in 119 ATT. The rest was just lack of execution (namely Gardner, who had several catch opportunities & dropped them) & penalties. I'll tell ya this, regardless of what happens with the Dallas game, I feel sorry for them next week...wait, no I don't. Gibbs will have these guys working harder then they ever have in their lives. Welcome to Hell Week fellas! This is when you suffer for a loss, especially an ugly loss. And hopefully, he will have them frothing at the mouth when Dallas comes to play next week. BTW, Tom[the Giants fan], F*ck you! :jk: Congradulations! Your boys played very well today & executed some great defensive plays. But still, :gaintsuck
fmorris
Dissapointing, but nothing like the collapsable games of last year. Remember the Bill's game? We hung in even after the turnovers, which happened in bunches. The late ones had a lot to do with trying to do too much, too fast. Unfortunate. I'm still proud of our boys when I see how far they've come. All this is fixable, and it's good to get it out of the way early. Patrick will bounce back. He's a better QB than what we saw to day. We knew we were going to drop some, so don't get too down. I'm already focusing on Dallas week. A big win, and 2-1 would feel pretty damn good. Here's to it! KDawg
Because it's one game? If you noticed, Green Bay lost today too... and the Lions are 2-0... You think the Lions are going to stay ahead of the Pack in the standings all season long? As much as I'd like to see the Lions do it, I don't think so. Miscues happen, bad games happen... **** happens... It's how you bounce back that measures the strength of a football team.
Cskin
I believe this loss will pay dividends down the road. I don't think this team is going to overlook an inferior team again. Gibbs/Williams will now have a tool to use to motivate and sharpen the concentration of the team in the future.

Relax, Dude. All these things are fixable & I'd rather them do it this week against the G-Strings then next week against the Pukes!
Tarhog
Difference is, we were still playing until the last play. Big difference. Screwed the pooch in nearly every phase of the game, and yet still had a chance to win. We'll be fine. Thank God there are many here who can see that 1 games not the end of the world. Montilar
Anyone think maybe McCants or a sure handed reciever (Jacobs??) gets some extra time in practice and might be on the roster and in the game plan next week? Gardner's one catch was just incredible. But until he concentrates and catches the easy stuff, I will NOT trust him to make the catch. And the Qb shouldn't either. Gardner's a sure drive killer with his dropsies. One incredible highlight film catch does not replace or make up for the everyday catches he drops. and I trust the coaches will let him know it too. He needs to sit on the bench for a series or two like Portis did when the ball gets dropped....
