bubba9497
Arrington ready to play By Jody Foldesy THE WASHINGTON TIMES http://www.washtimes.com/sports/20040917-122700-7393r.htm THE WASHINGTON TIMES Washington Redskins linebacker LaVar Arrington returned to practice yesterday and appears unlikely to have any problem playing Sunday against the New York Giants. Arrington, who sprained his right knee in last weekend's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was held out of team activities Wednesday. The three-time Pro Bowl selection eased back yesterday by participating in the first wave of full-squad drills. "I rested him at the end of practice in the last period," assistant head coach for defense Gregg Williams said. "I wanted to see him go, and I'm anxious to see how he did. It didn't seem too bad while I was watching him, but I wasn't watching him the whole time." Arrington remained "probable" on the injury report, as did kicker John Hall. After sitting out Wednesday with a strained right (kicking) hamstring, Hall was able to do a bit yesterday and was upbeat about Sunday. "I took some light reps," Hall said. "I'll be good." Linebacker Mike Barrow remains uncertain to play against the Giants, his team from 2000 to 2003, but he's giving himself a chance by practicing. Regardless, the urgency for Barrow to return has decreased with the outstanding play of Antonio Pierce at middle linebacker last weekend.
