spjunkies
That's to bad Andrews Out For Season September 12, 2004 By DAVE SPADARO The Eagles' injury bug continues to bite. Rookie right guard Shawn Andrews suffered a fractured right leg in the first half of Sunday's game and will be out for the season. Andrews was caught in a pile on a Brian Westbrook run in the second quarter. He was in immediate and obvious pain, and the Eagles training staff rushed onto the field to aid him. Andrews was fitted with an air cast on the field, helped on a cart and taken in for X-rays. Jermane Mayberry moved over from left guard to right guard and Artis Hicks stepped in at left guard in Andrews' absence. The offense did not skip a beat. The defense also suffered an injury, although it did not hamper things. Cornerback Lito Sheppard suffered a broken thumb, but returned to action in the second half. Hooper
To quote Westbrook 36, "that's what happens when you try to salvage some respect in a game that's way out of hand." See? Not so funny when it's a guy on your team.

See? Not so funny when it's a guy on your team. It was in the 2nd quarter, WTF! Eli didn't get hurt or anything. He was just appreciating a great football hit by McDougle. Nothing wrong with that. Hooper
No, he was being a d-ck as usual. That said, you're right, you really can't compare the plays.
Renegade7
Andrews didn't deserve that. He'll be a stud, I'm sure of it.
Ancalagon the Black
That sucks. Hopefully he'll heal up well during the offseason.
terpfan
He and Jansen should play a round of golf sometime.

cphil006
we know how the eagles feel. We lost Jansen for the season, but lucky for us it was early and we found a replacement.
Synergist
Thats going to hurt the eagles, especially as there isn't a lot of talent out there to back fill a loss like that.. Too Bad...

That's too bad, he's going to be a great player. I'm getting sick of all of these injuries.
Number5
Hicks will do a fine job. Mayberry just switched back to his normal side next to Runyan. Quick question........how was Tayolr yesterday guys? I didn't see the whole game, only highlights.
twist
As an Eagles fan, I feel bad for Andrews, he was destroying Norman Hand all day up till that play. Very quick for 340 pounds. But If Artis Hicks is good enough to be our future tackel then hes good enough to be our present Left Guard. He played well at both positions last year. The Eagles also took one of the Colts starters from last year who played 13 games at guard on a decent line off wavers before the season started. So I think the Eagles will be fine. I think Andrews will be a spectacular lineman in the NFL.
BSurina
Too bad, we'll wait until next year to see what he develops into.
