Field Goal decisions

I know it is Gibbs and I know all worked out well at the end, but did anyone else question Hall's 50 yard fg attempt on 4th and short and Hall's 20 yard fg on 4th and inches from the 3? Isn't there a fairly strong case to be made that the Skins should have gone for it on BOTH and never attempted the fg's?

Overalll was very pleased..a win is a win. Sure, some things have to be worked out, but I am sure that will take place.

One bit of bad news,,,Bills lost on the last play of the game to the Jags..why is this bad? Cowboys have the Bills' first round pick

Gibbs addressed the 4th and inches from the 3 decision in his post-game press conference. He said he felt they had momentum on their side at that point and he didn't want to do anything to change the momentum. He took 10-0 rather than risk giving Tampa Bay a momentum changing 4th down stop.

I think the question was not tossing the challenge out on the spot down by the goal line. That was a horrible spot.

Most successful coaches tend to take the sure three rather than risk coming away with nothing and give the other team a big emotional lift.

On the 50 yard field goal, I think it was showing a great deal of confidence on Hall. Hall is really a very good field goal kicker who can hit from 50. I am ok with that one too.

The 4th and goal from the 3 was the best call by Gibbs. The way he explained it at the press conference is exactly what I had in mind. people behind my seat where screaming "go for it" but I knew he would take the sure 3 point rather than missing the 1st down and shifting the momentum.

I think Spurier would go for it everytime, and I guess that's the difference between a proven winner and Spurier.
