CB Derek Ross a free agent again, after failing his Arizona physical

How the frig can CB Derek Ross pass his Minnesota physical but then fail his Arizona physical? :laugh: Dont we need another CB?

AP reports the Arizona Cardinals have signed DT John Nix after two players previously picked up failed their physicals. Nix played 30 games for Dallas in 2001-2002, but did not play in the NFL last season. He played for Amsterdam in NFL Europe this year and was released by Cleveland on Sunday.

DT Eddie Freeman and CB Derek Ross, claimed by Arizona off waivers on Monday, failed their phyiscal exams Wednesday.

Cut by Dallas because of attitude issues.

Picked up by Atlanta, then cut because he was not good enough to make the team. (Team that needs CB help bad)

Picked up by New Orleans, then cut within 24 hours because he missed his flight.

Picked up Minnesota, then cut because he was not good enough to make the team. (Another team that needs CB help bad)

Picked up by Arizona, then cut because he couldnt pass the physical.

Now this is the kid you want?

Going out on a limb here, but I'd have rather kept Ralph Brown or Rashad Bauman instead.

1) Actually, I read where the Minnesota coach said they were interested in resigning him later -- he hadn't had enough time to learn their system.

2) Why not? He has starting experience; once had 5 interceptions; and what is the alternative, Ade Jimoh? :laugh:

3) Actually I wish we had kept these guys as #5 CB's, but they are not an option now. :laugh:

Well, I guess Tice will have his chance to bring him back since I dont think anyone will be picking him up anytime soon.

And even if they do, I dont think he will be passing any physical.:laugh:

So Tice's wish just might come true.
