TXREDSKINS44
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/powerranking Did not see this posted. They have us at 20th. I think they ranked teams on there record from last year!!
Gamebreaker
Those rankings make very little sense after the first 7 picks. But then again, do rankings EVER make sense?
Fred Jones
The Cardinals will not be a playoff team, however, they will not be at the bottom of the heap either. Dennis Green will turn the program around and they will win a few games.
TODD
That's is why they play the games.
Sea Bass
They are not bold enough to put a 5-11 team very high on the rankings. If they do, it is usually a playoff team that had their star player injured last year, like Atlanta (Vick) or Jets (Pennington).

marhobo
I'd be shy too after being burned by Redskin expectations for the past few years.
Hog Lover
20th is low considering most prognosticators have us making the playoffs as a wildcard. But we have disappointed with high expectations in every year since 2000 so I don't mind the power rankings making us have to show we're better than last years 5-11 team before we are Top 15. The Redskins need to prove something on Sunday vs. Tampa and we will be 14th or higher next week.
Hooper
I just don't see the Ravens being that good with Boller at qb. Yeah, I know their defense is great and so is Jamal Lewis, but Boller is just God-awful.

Last year, they went 10-6 and came within inches of beating the Titans in the playoffs. In my opinion, I don't even think the Ravens need a passing game. They could have won the Superbowl last year even with just Jamal and their defense. Did the Patriots need a running game last year to win the Superbowl? That said, I still think Boller will be a much-improved quarterback this year and I think Kevin Johnson will make a big impact at wide receiver. I predict that the Ravens will represent the AFC in the Superbowl.
MikeB
They don't give much credo to Joe Gibbs with Atlanta and Jacksonville both ranked ahead of us.
Walking Deadman
Ok, We should be above Atlanta. We dominated this team in 1st team vs 1st team competition on every level. Mike Vick looked like Doug Johnson out there. No way is Atlanta looking like a better team. However, I'm glad we're ranked 20th. Nobody really know who we are and what we are about.....It worked for Dallas last year.
buzzlightbeer81
least we are ranked above the Bucs, maybe we can start off Gibbs' second phase with a win
jrfriedm
Well look at who made up the list! ESPN.com's Power Poll This week's rankings were determined by a poll of ESPN.com's NFL staff -- senior writers John Clayton, Len Pasquarelli and ESPN.com NFL editors Peter Lawrence-Riddell and James C. Black. Click here to send in comments :finger:

Sea Bass
Giants at 28? That is too high. They are #29 at best.
Die Hard
Power rankings. Perhaps one of the dumbest and irrelevant features I've ever seen associated with the NFL and football. It's dumb. So dumb it's not even gimmicky. Just an excuse for one-liners for each team.
Dallsux
Some of the comments are kinda silly. Philly is ranked #2, but the comment is about Reid & McNabb & Owens being under pressure. They were really reasons for why they were ranked that way, just some random comments about the team. I can't say that I'm surprised about where they ranked the Redskins, although again, the comment seemed odd to me. Oh well.
