jimster
in addition to Chamberlain (wasn't there a sportwriter who took a shot at us for letting him go?) Denver also released four draft picks from last year: defensive ends Bryant McNeal and Clint Mitchell, running back Ahmaad Galloway and defensive tackle Nick Eason.Quarterback Bradlee Van Pelt, from nearby Colorado State, and offensive lineman Josh Sewell, both 2004 draft picks, also were released. Cornerback Jeremy LeSueur, a third-round draft pick this year, was placed on injured reserve with a hernia. Denver also released linebackers Cornelius Anthony, Charles Burton, Louis Green and Johnny Rutledge; guards Tyson Clabo and Shannon Snell; receiver Romar Crenshaw; punter Hayden Epstein; defensive end Randy Garner; defensive tackle Thomas Pittman; running back Cecil Sapp; and center Chris Watton. 4 draft picks? was Nick Eason in their rotation last year? Should we be looking at him and Clint Mitchell?

method man
i guess eason is worth a workout maybe if the coaches want more depth at DT which i doubt.

Supposedly the Skins were interested in drafting him according to the WP or WT, but Denver wound up drafting him. I believe I read where he has bipolar disorder or something like that. Scouting reports said the guy is super strong as I recall, like a 500 lb. bench press. I think we should consider him for the PS at least. RB Ahmad Galloway is also worth a look. And TE Jed Weaver was released and he is a very good tight end. Take a look at his stats.
jimster
I had thought Sapp was pretty good (Colorado?) - I'm sure he'll get picked up by one of the RB desperate teams. I was more interested in D-linemen Eason and Mitchell - I recoginize both of those names from last year's draft. ...It's kinda funny how untouchable Shanahan is to the media. - If the Redskins released 4 draft picks by picked by the current staff, we'd be hearing about it until next year. Cskin
Sapp might be a nice short yardage back to stash on the PS. Eason is also the guy who went missing from camp for a day or two and it was reported he was re-evaluating whether he wanted to play football. Strong as an ox.. but his history indicates a level of unreliability.
