DUSTINMFOX
Please do not judge the crowd by the Atlanta game.... I honestly think that the town has had too much hype the last few months... I mean Gibbs in Jan, free agent signings, the draft, camp, and fan appreciation....we are all ready for the hype to stop and the regular season to start........ Ernie5
Doc is a cliche-spouting, fake-laughing dumbass. I know I should love him b/c he's a Skin, but I find listening to him to be a cringe-inducing experience. He states the obvious and does this tired macho ex-jock BS that I loathe. Baltimore fans are fine, but let's see them turn out at all when the Ravens lose for a couple of years. They're history tells us they won't. Pre-season or not, Gibbs is back and I would think it should be a full house. We had the hurricane excuse the last time.
clubisyohankovic
I really wish all of the crap that the front office/marketing dept does between each snap is ridiculous --- ie playing 10 seconds of a song REALLY LOUD, or saying "ITTTTSSSSSS THIRRRRRRRDDDD DOWWWWWWN, or saying "Let's Make Some Noise." I think that stuff gets added not because it's "necessary," but because somebody in the marketing dept is getting paid to come up with it. There's a mentality that people need constant noise - visual and audio stimuli - to keep 'em interested, and I hate it... It would be much more powerful if they would just let the volume of the crowd take over, rather than putting in all that artificial sh!t. IT's the same at Caps and Wizards games, I'm afraid. But i think it's silly for Doc to blame the fans for that dopey "ITTS THIRRD DOWN" guy. I know I didn't ask for him.

Yeah, they sure do one hell of a job supporting the Orioles.
cphil006
Get us fired up, but don't ever mention "Baltimore" fans. We need to win. Either he is baiting us, or he is a traitor.
Mooney
Originally posted by afparent Nothing new here. Raven Stadium is better than Fedex and their fans are loyal. This is one of several quotes about the Ravens that makes me sick. Baltimore sports fans are the most un-loyal in the country. The Ravens had the worst attendance and TV ratings immediately prior to their SB run. As soon as Ray Ray retires and they go back to their losing ways, the "loyal" fans will abandon again. They have already abandoned the O's. They abandoned the Colts. These type of quotes make me question whether or not we truly have a die-hard fan base, or just mis-informed. SkinsLegacy44
FedEx really hasn't seen us win too often. We don't see paper bag's on faces for Jets games anymore......why? because they're headed in the right direction. its not our stadium.....its our team!!!! which i hope, is in good hands now. hail2skins
Yes, FedEx does seat 92K, but you gotta consider that almost 25K of those are premium seats........15K in the club level, and probably another 10k in the suites/loge. When you take into consideration that maybe only a third of the people who show up in the club level (premium seating that is actually outdoors) give a damn about the game, that knocks your "attendance" number (at least of fans who care) down quite a notch. I also wish more people would show up on time and have their butts in the seats for the intros and kickoff. I sit in the club but look up at the upper deck at the start of the game and see a lot of red seats. Granted, traffic and security at the gate are both time consuming, but people need to take these factors more into account. I hope the subway stop they are proposing for the Summerfield area isn't too far from the stadium.....I think a good mass-transit option can develop somewhat of a built-in camraderie that existed at RFK. Don't look for many hardcores at the Atlanta game.......this is Labor Day weekend and a lot of people will be out of town. Tampa and Dallas games will both be deafening at the stadium. Good point! The metro ride to and from RFK was a lot of fun!
codeorama
My wife and I went to 2 games last year and screamed until we were hoarse the next day. In both cases, some people around us got annoyed because we, along with others, stood up and blocked their view (I guess they didn't want to stand). There are alot of people trying, but there are more that don't.
G-Town
He is getting us going. I wished I lived there I would pay $1000 a game to see them play in person, you people have NO idea what it is like to LOVE the SKins and ONLY see the Vikings play. Thank god for DTV!!!
